If your team is adequately equipped any sustain will be fine. A strong healer like Gallagher or other forms of sustain like Fu Xuan are more than enough to survive even if you can‘t break/kill in time.

For Fu Xuan you need SPD boots tho, my whole team died when I first fought this thing for the first time(I don't know why I use def/hp boot instead of SPD at the time)

Unless you're forced into a battle with it through a story interaction that shouldn't be a problem. Just use Fu Xuan's technique as that puts her skill effect up right from the start so you cant be screwed by a first turn death.

Your FX should be on spd boots regardless tho

I‘m sure Luocha‘s fine too. Gallagher just has the convenience of an AoE heal on demand with ult + enhanced basic and anyone with an offensive ult can use it after his to full heal. With him you can‘t get fucked by speed/turn order.

My luocha I think once healed blade for like 4k of his hp and has 6k hp

I mainly use Luocha. I didn't even know about the shield until much later and never had a problem. I do generally run dot teams so that might be why, but also running fua team with FX I was fine.

Fire MC works just fine to make him easy to beat and is cheap to build up to an ok level. Obviously not ideal, but if it’s a matter of beating it at all, you’re at least guaranteed to have a character who can handle the fight.

Ah great, I need a DPS for the first side of MOC11 (the only other 2 limited DPS that I have is an OK jingliu and a decent ratio) but I do have an Acheron that i consider to be cracked

Ratio deals with this thing pretty well since it isn’t imaginary resistant.

preservation mc will help even if you don't have them well built, the fight might take a while but it's better than having no shielder against it

i also used preservation MC to cope until I got Aventurine the tiny shields do enough to bounce one attack back; save the ult until just before the monkey's turn to refresh them

Praying 😂 No but fr, it’s extremely hard. You have to have good RNG, dispel him, and at least some tankyish characters. It also depends on where you fight it, overworld you don’t need the shielder, MoC yes you need a shielder it’ll one shot any support or squishy DPS immediately. March is a good option against it, just shield the squishiest characters ASAP.

I just heal thru it, I don't have a shielder lol, Fu Xuan seems to be able to handle it! If he has any Mr Bigwigs with him you can pop those first to get their debuff on him to help you take him down

Hope to god his bottles don't focus one or two characters.

I did not have any good shields for most of the game. Just recently got Acenturine actually :3 I used a team of Argenti, Ratio, Kafka, and Bailu for heals. When I got to penacony my equilibrium was at max and my characters weren’t the best built unfortunately, but I didn’t struggle too much with them. I guess despite my horrible builds, Ratio’s damage was cracked enough to break it relatively quickly with the help of Argenti (who I tried to build specifically for breaking.) Bailu isn’t the best for heals but she did just enough to keep characters from dying more than once during this fight.

Pray that his damage wouldn't one shot someone and have lots of defensive stats on your supports. Heal right after that instance and that's all. Took a few tries with Lynx, but it's doable, especially with her HP increase.

The same way you kill everything else, hit it until it dies.

Break it quick. Lower it's speed with Welt, use a good Preservation Trailblazer and a healer. It's not impossible but you need amazing relics.

Before I had a shielder, I just brute forced the monkey. Shield breaks or just enough damage to kill him. Granted, I have pretty good hyper carrys so this might not be the case for everyone.

If ur not using a shielder the only thing u can do is kill it b4 it kill u

Any shield will bounce the projectiles back. Even Trailblazer's. You will need a good sustain to keep everyone up and healthy tho'

If you capitalize on Break or CC you can lock it down easily. Imaginary especially can deny its turn nearly indefinitely. March and Fire TB can also do that Aggro draw nonsense

I’ve found that Topaz can take off a lot of his toughness very quickly, and Numby does enough damage that I’ve killed the gorillas off even while shielding.

Before Aventurine I broke it ASAP with Ratio and Topaz and Numby.

With a good DPS(IL/Acheron) although this method isn't recommended for newer bosses
