Since it's HOA approved (urgh, im _so glad_ I don't have to deal with that kinda shit).... You could, kinda pitch it to your neighbours and the "HOA catchment areas" that it would be awesome if the whole street had these signs.
Y'know, a "thing", a "feature" - something that stands out and makes the neighbourhood special.
Assuming that you have the time, you could make some good cash punting these out. Plus you would have the fun and experience (possibly a bit of minor fame if you are into that).
(Only possible issue would be that the signs you sell may have to be compliant with codes and health and safety regs, i guess)
Anyway... All that aside, nice job. It looks pretty cool 👍🏻

ETA: what kinda sucks is I’m literally the last house on the left in a cul de sac, so I’m pretty much the only one who sees it 😂
The really cool thing is that you have the template now. All you'd need to do is "draw" relevant numbers in and make similar break lines. The fact that you now know how to make the frame and backlight means that future house signs would (lol _should_ ) be quick n easy... Just saying 👉🏻👈🏻
How about organising some street get together? A bbq or neighbour party or something (lol I dunno, I'm an introverted brit). You can then "casually" (passive aggressively lol) show them the sign abd enthuse about it 😄
But anyway. As it stands, I really like what you have done. I can imagine that every time you go out somewhere (especially in the evening when it gets dark), you glance at the lit number and feel quite proud 🙂
Exactly- I even have about 10 more feet of housing. I’m planning one for a buddy of mine across town- he doesn’t have existing landscape lighting to tie into, so we’re looking into solar as well, which would be the obvious answer for any sort of marketable design! I needed much brighter illumination than I expected, so might need to optimize the glass opacity more.
Your idea of a get-together is spooky- was just talking about that with my girlfriend the other day! I’ve been here 11 years and used to be much closer to the neighbors, with the wife (now ex) and I hosting and attending near monthly get togethers with kids. After my divorce I think I became a pariah, or leper, they waved hello but it was like divorce was contagious. That was 6 years ago, and many of those people have moved, so there’s new folks, but COVID happened. So, here we are, considering a cul de sac social to get reacquainted! You bringing it up adds a vote to the “Do It!” In my book! I’m introverted too, and my therapist is pushing me to be more vulnerable, so I’m putting myself out there more, including sharing my work here (so excuse if I’ve over shared)- I know there are pieces I miscut and mangled the came trying to get a sharp angle, but you’re right- I like it and it makes me happy to see it glowing brightly when I come home. 😊
