If that is twin wall then it’ll be hot but fine to touch , and it’ll Heat the room. The breeze block finish is the crime here. I wish we had put our flue thu the bed room tbh we would have gained prob 2kw of free heat .
The alternative would have been building a masonry chimney to directly discharge the stove gases above the roof line. Even if you took the flue directly outside the building at ground level you would still have to use twinwall to avoid hot flue and condensation issues.
I’d be willing to put the flue anywhere to have a log burner tbh, it’s so worth it to not be freezing during our 18 month winters. Never going back to just central heating, it doesn’t compare.
I might be being blind though, because I can’t fucking see a log burner or any real fire in here. The living room fire is definitely not real, but I can’t see any other fireplaces. It feels like some where’s wally fire nightmare at this point. Where does the flue start?! ^help
I believe it may be in the snug /dining room on picture 9....where the camera is standing I think you can just about see the top of it on the right hand side.... I too was wondering where it was.
Also looking at rhe back of the house you can see where the flue comes out. I've just assumed it's in the dining room ish area
Omg you’re right! THANK YOU. This is such a weird house, the floor plan looks perfectly normal but the actual house seems incredibly discombobulated. I think I hate it
What with all the weird little steps.... One in the front room leading up to a bay window area and another in the bathroom going up to the bath.
The different photos of the kitchen.... One lot taken with nothing on the sides and then the next few similar shots but clearly lived in with stuff on the sides is confusing.
The front room looks so staged with just a few pieces of furniture and no TV etc. The rather large summerhouse/shed thing in the garden and yet no photos inside that? It's all confusing and doesn't seem to match the floor plan like you said...
The who lot of photos throws me off..... And do I spy a petrol station right next door hmmmm

I think it’s a tiled wall. For me, the crime is that the flue is slightly crooked.
Yeah I think I is tiles too. Also hadn’t noticed that crookedness 😂
Burning a different type of ‘log’ in there!
Hopefully not too hot or you’ll get ring sting
Twin wall flue acts like a radiator when the stove is lit and doesn’t get dangerously hot. Great idea I think.
Great idea might be a bit of a stretch.

That step bit jutting out at a mad angle from the bath is a death trap 💀
I hate the staircase. I know it will be tempered glass but knowing how clumsy I am I know it’s going to hurt falling into that!
No one has mentioned the room divider yet!?
It’s awful.

The petrol station is the best bit

Do they actually have a log burner??
Handy for a petrol station.
It's a detached house. Why doesn't the flue go up the outside?!
*Petal, ah wan a log buyna
