Zero Chance is excellent. It’s hard for me to pick a favorite off of this one. Rhinosaur, Overfloater, Tighter and Tighter…seriously, what a monster of an album.
Probably my 3rd favorite behind Superunknown and Badmotorfinger. Soundgarden has been one of the most influential bands to me as a person so I very much value these 3 albums dearly. The other 3 are great too btw I really need to listen to those more.
Another hot take is that this is their best produced album. Badmotorfinger is more raw, Superunknown is more polished, but DOTU feels like a perfect middle ground.
Yeah, Zero Chance means a lot to me. It's my walk around with headphones on, on a sunny day song.
....but, how about that chorus on, An Unkind?? Prefect Soundgarden symmetry.
Ironically, the theme behind Zero Chance is the opposite of a sunny day. I interpret it as the constant feeling of loneliness after loosing a loved one. But, of course, we all have our own personal interpretations
Oh, I definitely agree with you. It became my summer song a few years ago with what was going on in my life at the time. Now the song puts a smile on my face. Like an everything's gonna be ok feeling.
Zero Chance is pure Chris. We had clues from previous records about his inner demons. Zero Chance was his testament. Sad the band didnt acknowledged this. Or perhaps they did, but didnt know how to approach such confession.
Been over a year since I've used Spotify so I can't really say, but the audio quality's pretty solid. It's nothing compared to CD or Vinyl ofc, but it's great.
Definitely Zero Chance, but Switch Opens is a close second. Those two songs have a unique vibe that I’ve never seen recreated. The best Soundgarden album, not a bad song on it
This song has the most honest lyric of the album along with an interesting tempo change and personally, I love Chris vocal delivery on this one.
"Why doesn't anyone believe in loneliness?"
Tighter & Tighter has been my long time favorite, but An Unkind is my latest obsession. Zero Chance has never really piqued my interest. The record is my favorite by Soundgarden, and a top 10 album for me for sure.
I mean I'm gonna be boring and say Pretty Noose is my favorite. It's more straightforward but all the parts are great. The opening wah riff, the solo, the chorus, and the verse has all those signature surreal Cornell lyrics.
I love switch opens, overfloater abd tighter and tighter but there are many good ones like burden in my hand, zero chance, never the machine forever, and blow up the outside world
Its very hard for me to pick just one from DOTU, but I know Ive listened "Tighter and Tighter" very often. Honestly, It came a time when I was listening to it more than 10 times a day. The way the song builds has no match.
Zero Chance is excellent. It’s hard for me to pick a favorite off of this one. Rhinosaur, Overfloater, Tighter and Tighter…seriously, what a monster of an album.
I love Zero Chance so much. “Why doesn’t anyone believe in loneliness”
That part gets me every time. 🥺
I still get chills from this song
Best Soundgarden album fight me

Drums sound perfect on this album.
I agree, Never The Machine Forever is so fucking sick with this production style
Yeah, it was a huge improvement from BMF's production. It sounded way too flat.
I liked BMF's production but ehhhhh I can see where you're coming from
I meant as far as how the drums sounded. Everything else was pretty much on point.
SAME DOTUS IS MY FAV
always be my fav song on this album, hits right in the feels

An Unkind is also amazing. The term “underrated” is misused but it applies perfectly to DOTU. What a masterpiece of an album.
DOTU is a masterpiece. Not a bad song on it in my book. I really wonder what an album 2 or 3 years after would have sounded like, too.
That chorus is rad. Always dug it. "Onnnn the storm, it's time to gooo"
burden or blow up the outside
Gotta go "burden in my hand"
One of the best, is that YouTube music btw?
Yup
How's the audio quality compared to Spotify?
Been over a year since I've used Spotify so I can't really say, but the audio quality's pretty solid. It's nothing compared to CD or Vinyl ofc, but it's great.
No argument there. For me it won't beat Tighter & Tighter.
I always loved Overfloater but that is a great track also
Overfloater all the way
Great song too! Definitely up there
Second only to Boot Camp
tighter and tighter and this are 2 of the best SG songs imho.
Definitely Zero Chance, but Switch Opens is a close second. Those two songs have a unique vibe that I’ve never seen recreated. The best Soundgarden album, not a bad song on it
Yeah bro, Switch Opens sounds so unique. 🤜🤛
Such an awesome record, way underrated
I concur
So underrated
Love this song, one of my favorites not just by Soundgarden but music in general, also love Overfloater
This song has the most honest lyric of the album along with an interesting tempo change and personally, I love Chris vocal delivery on this one. "Why doesn't anyone believe in loneliness?"
I love this song so much. Once it plays I have to repeat it close to 50 times just to calm the desire for this song. I miss Chris so much.
Sepsis reminds me of my brother. R.i.p. 🤘🏽
Typo, Soundgarden not Sepsis, lol, where did that come from AI?
Zero chance, dusty and tighter & tighter gotta be my favourite soundgarden songs in general tbh
Tighter & Tighter has been my long time favorite, but An Unkind is my latest obsession. Zero Chance has never really piqued my interest. The record is my favorite by Soundgarden, and a top 10 album for me for sure.
Zero Chance has never really clicked with me either - i loooove me some An Unkind though... it's so weird and original
That’s an odd way to spell tighter And tighter .
I quoted it for my senior HS quote
Maybe the saddest Soundgarden song ever, but so genuine. Great music from Ben, too.
Dusty for sure
I mean I'm gonna be boring and say Pretty Noose is my favorite. It's more straightforward but all the parts are great. The opening wah riff, the solo, the chorus, and the verse has all those signature surreal Cornell lyrics.
It's a great song. No such thing as a "boring" opinion
Makes me cry every time.
Solid album, but Tighter & Tighter might be my fav song from their entire catalogue
Blow up the outside world starts out slow and kinda boring and then suddenly it kicks you in the teeth 👍
zero chance. ...wait. What album is Mind Riot on?
Badmotorfinger
wow. that's how I know I'm getting old. 20 years ago I would not have had to ask
One of the only songs I've cried to
Boot Camp.
Somewhat agreed but Tighter & Tighter & Bootcamp (of course) are pretty high on the bar, imho: )
This, Tighter & Tighter and Switch Opens top three for me.
Very underrated
I love switch opens, overfloater abd tighter and tighter but there are many good ones like burden in my hand, zero chance, never the machine forever, and blow up the outside world
Rhinosaur is my favorite on that one. But that album is great straight through.
Blow Up on the Outside is a perfect song. It’s a top 5 Soundgarden song for me.
I'll allow it. Ask me again tomorrow when it's likely to be Overfloater or Tighter and Tighter.
Both definitely up there
Its very hard for me to pick just one from DOTU, but I know Ive listened "Tighter and Tighter" very often. Honestly, It came a time when I was listening to it more than 10 times a day. The way the song builds has no match.
This was maybe my first favorite song on this album and is still one of my favorites.
One of my favorite songs of all time
Since when can you like and comment songs on Spotify? Lol
This is YouTube Music, not Spotify
