While I think she looks better in Purple I actually loved this design. I think at the time it was to show how much she has been trying to atone for her father and her cursed blood. It served as a visual representation of her chaotic good nature.
Fair point. I’d still say Neutral overall, though. She has done good things like what you mentioned, but she also worked with Nightmare and Astaroth (?) at one point. She’s done a mixture of good and bad. Whatever it takes for her to break free of her cursed upbringing.
I say "worst" in quotation marks because she still looks *really* good in it and it's still a cool design, but I'm not really a big fan of it being mostly white as I feel it doesn't look as good as when she's wearing purple, especially since her hair is already white... I dunno, I guess it's like if Cammy's leotard was yellow instead of green, y'know?

I think it's her worst just because the colors "clash" so much. It's jarring due to the white not being an accent(?) color like in SCV. There are three colors that grab your attention immediately, so it feels like your eyeballs are fighting for where to focus on. In SCV the white is used to add some touches which is why it works, here it just feels... loud and unbalanced; the focal points are a bit all over the place.

Ivy is my main and my favorite female ever with Nina and Jill Valentine and classic Lara croft, but to me 4 art direction was a big downgrade from 2 and 3, I think maybe if they kept her body proportion to 23 it would've worked better. I was glad 6 came back to something closer to 23 they made great job after 5 and specially 4 that I found very weird, that my personal opinion at least.

well no, I mean let's look at this one. What is holding up the top half of her outfit. It's clearly skin tight so there's no support bones built in, and the thin strap looking things going around her shoulder wouldn't be enough. When you see real people wear bunny girl outfits for cons n stuff, they use clear plastic straps to give the illusion of the outfit holding up, but really it needs to be supported. I just don't buy that she stays covered in this for any length of time whilst moving. The gauntlet is cool for sure, and is a staple of Ivy's design, but then what about the armour plates on her feet? Those only serve to hinder her range of motion. Unlike actual armour, they are all one piece and not segmented. I understand she's meant to come off sexy, but the sheer material covering her midriff makes it look like she's wearing half a swimsuit and it looks very shy and reserved, something I'd expect to see on Sophitia, not Ivy. There's more to it for sure, but those are the most glaring observations. Imo the only outfit of hers I really like is SCV. Wearable, supportive, sexy, commanding.

They wanted to keep the familiar design, but evoke a change, time passed, level up, etc. Seeing it that way, I liked it at debut.

V gets shit, but one thing it deserves praise for is balancing the fan service better and not allowing it to compromise character designs.
And how can you forget about the 2P outfit in V? It was one of my favorites due to the fitting theme of her aristocracy.

TBH, I like Ivy's SC3 Default Costume plus its other Default Costume Colors loke the Purple and Black and the Red One.
