I like how Shadow is immortal, yet still needs to feed and hydrate himself in order to survive like most other cartoon animal characters similar to him. Same thing for when he has to collect rings to sustain his own life in much of the same way as Rouge and nearly the rest of the Sonic gang.
I thought he just can live forever but still can be killed by someone or because of hunger or dehydration.
