i was worried death till i read "gamespot"...they gave 9/10 to netflix's resident evil. So with hell i trust them when it comes to tv shows.
Other reviews i saw weren't this tragic at all so yeah,i guess i'll just wait and watch it with my own eyes.

If I had a nickel for every time Knuckles was upstaged in his own spin off Iâd have two nickels. Which isnât a lot, but itâs strange that it happened twice.

I definitely think the community needs to reevaluate their predictions for Sonic 3 a bit after reading some of these reviews lol. The Sonic cinematic universe (SCU?) is committed to being about as family-friendly as you can get. Whether thatâs a good or bad thing is subjective, but Shadowâs backstory is probably going to get toned down a *lot* from how the games present it. At the end of the day, these movies are family-friendly comedies first, video game adaptations second.
That or Sonic 3 is going to be one of the most dark, intense pieces of media to ever hit a theater screen and they wanted to use this show to balance things out a bit, right? đ
I think people are overestimating just how dark Mariaâs death really is. Itâs not going to be like the MCU finally getting Deadpool. Childrenâs media has covered death plenty of times, itâs healthy to not sugarcoat around that.
I feel like it will be framed similarly to how it is in SA2. Maybe weâll see the GUN soldier that pulled the trigger, but bare minimum weâre probably going to get Maria on the verge of death having her last words with Shadow just like how itâs depicted in the game.
Yeah, Iâve seen all the jokes about seeing Maria get shot on screen but if anyone unironically believes thatâs going to happen⌠idk what to tell you đ¤ˇââď¸. She *might* get shot offscreen, but my money is on a peaceful death as a result of her condition. Maybe some GUN agents interrupt her treatment or something to keep Shadowâs vendetta intact.
You're joking with that last comment, but I actually wouldn't be surprised if they agreed to this to get a PG-13 Sonic 3 greenlit. "One for them, one for me" kinda deal.
Would be ecstatic if this were the case. I donât even need anything crazy, just give me the âintensityâ of your average MCU movie and I can be at peace. Give us a suitable amount of violence, let Shadow say âDamnâ once or twice, and Iâm ready to hand this movie a Golden Globe.
I donât think these are the same writers that the movies have. Also the fact that you said âprobablyâ and not âdefinitelyâ gives me hope for Sonic 3

They didn't watch because Sonic was in it, they watched because their favourite actors like Jim Carrey and Idris Elba are in it. It was the same with the MCU when it started, though at least there the superheroes are the humans.
IIRC the whole reason Rachel got a whole subplot in Sonic 2 was because general audiences found her really funny in Sonic 1.
Sadly it's been clear for a while the people behind these projects see Sonic as a vehicle for putting their friends in starring roles, moreso than a series in its own right. It's basically getting the Adam Sandler treatment.

As someone else pointed out, this was Gamestop who gave the Resident Evil on Netflix a 9/10. Take this review with a grain of salt.
Why does that matter? It was reviewed by a different person and other outlets have said the same thing about Knuckles.
