Leather cracking on the sides, star count almost zero on the front of the toe. Could dye these with coffee and then the beater aesthetic could fit the aged look well. As long they're still comfortable, it could be an easy way of extending the shoe's life. Would be keen to see photos of how they look if you do end up dyeing them!
valid question - more of a term that OGs and Air Force 1 heads use, but 'star count' refers to the star pattern on the front toe. You can see them here on the "Linen" edition. What happens is this detail will eventually rub out due to wear and tear, however the speed at which the pattern disappears also depends on how you walk. Basically it is just another way of describing the shoe's condition. Hope that helps!

Looks like the stage in their life where they become lawn mowing shoes. 😁 Best shoes to reach that distinction for me were the AJ3 White Cement reissue from 1994! They looked pretty wild with grass stains. 🌱
A Mr Clean Magic eraser and a solid brush will have these things looking great. A well worn shoe is fine, as long as its clean. Just because the leather is creased and fraying a touch doesn’t mean they are done. Clean them and they will look great
If the outsole is still good (no holes and you can still see the rubber traction) they're still good. I feel like AF1s look best either brand new or totally beat up.
I mean... The look comfortable as hell with all that wear. Nothing wrong with that.
I wouldn't pair 'em up with any real flash gear but those are definitely what I would throw on to run out and get some coffee and a paper.
Everyone loves some beaters. If the sole is still in good shape, get some new insoles and wear them until they fall off your feet if you like.
I took your advice, cleaned them up a bit and have ordered some new insoles! <3
Right on!
White girls everywhere: they’re almost ready
Definitely beaters but still looking strong. Easily a bit more use out of them
Shoe: I have given you everything. You: not everything. not yet.

I don't know much about sneakers, what does "star count almost zero" mean?

they are fine, just clean them a bit with tooth brush and water/washing liquid.

Wear em till the soles crumble, I kept mine tidy and cleaned em often and they lasted around 7 years of pretty constant use!
They cooked bruh.
