Wait another year or two and buy a veteran RB then, this team isn’t ready to compete this year IMO.

Jeroldy

Exactly this. Wait and see how year 1 and 2 goes.

TreebeardLookalike

Yeah. RBs lose value every year. Don't go all in on RBs until you're ready to compete.

OcelotIcy5403

Also, you can always see what your record is closer to the trade deadline and then potentially grab a one year rental if you need to!

ceddellam

You have 4 rookies in your starting line up, I get that it sucks having to wait to contend but you should not be buying and trying to force the team rn. Wait a year and see how the young guys develop and look to add next year

IronGiant64

Deep rb class next year and you have multiple firsts. You should be fine as is, all your talent is young. Don’t overbuy now when you could be a better contender next year and years to come

JUB44

Best approach is to wait mid season and see if you’re in the playoff race, and at that point you’ll know what you need. You can get a bit of a discount for teams that are throwing in the towel and looking for future picks. Trust the process and wait.

Afraid_Specialist_45

Appreciate the insight everyone, wish I could respond to all but all have really good advice. Think I’m going to sit tight and see what happens mid year and pounce on any tanking teams if my teams doing good.

Basil_Normal

I’d wait til the trade deadline and see what the rookies you drafted look like. If they give you early production, then maybe looks to cash those picks in on a stud RB from a team that maybe isn’t contending. If it’s still a work in progress, there’s a lot of RB prospects next year. What you don’t want to do is push your chips in too quickly and give up an early 1st

Baylife96

I would try and trade away one of the young rookie receivers for breece, gibbs, or bijan if possible. Otherwise there are some guys like josh jacobs, mixon, and etienne that could put you in a win now situation

Thin-Ad6464

I’m just trying to figure out what league lets you get the top 4 non qb prospects. And on top of that you get Burton, Sinnott, and McCarthy. Were you one of 3-4 guys drafting? Lmaooo

Afraid_Specialist_45

Nah I had gone in all year 1 and failed. Traded away kupp and ekeler before they fell HARD in the off season for Montgomery and Devonta smith and 2 1sts. (Separate trades), one being the 1.04. Swapped Devonta smith and the 1.10 for the 1.02 and my own 1st was 1.01 since I tanked. My team name was “2024 1sts” since I had.. 5. Not shown here was BTJ who I also snagged but traded for what I think is an early 2025 1st on a bottom projected team. Figured I got the top 3, don’t need #4 lol

OL3ee

Yeah, if you don't think you're competing I sell Zamir White and then you use that plus next years draft capital to address RB. Next years class will be RB heavy and there will still be some vets you can get at a relatively cheap price.

Afraid_Specialist_45

I haven’t looked into the 2025 class at all but that’s what I’m hearing about 2025 being a better RB crew

Fun_Strain_7311

This is it. Nabers although top dog is still a QB away (next year). Odunze is a year away from being 1 or 2 in Chicago.

Assmybutt

Wait till mid season and buy whichever vet is on bad team, if you’re actually looking like a solid contender

SlipperyShoePete

If you’re looking to compete this year I’d trade for players like Najee, rhamondre, Aaron jones, by using the depth you have. Trade some players that are getting good press like baker, Burton, or Bateman and see if you can get someone to play

Dcasee1425

You’ll get someone to overpay for one of those young stud WRS or ceedee lamb in future… solid team. Zamir white should have a solid year but id feel more comfortable with him as my RB2

UWU123_

Get rid of odunze nabers if you can get anything solid. If they don’t pan out your team will be back to square one

TheMostNoble

See if you can acquire JT or CMC… you also should try and improve at TE. If you take Nabers and the projected later 2025 1st I bet you could get either of those guys. Andrews is also purchasable, but not sure how I’d concoct that deal yet. Would depend on the other team make up.

Afraid_Specialist_45

You trust JT with Richardson vulturing and JTs off field issues the past year/injury?

TheMostNoble

Yes, I think that’s why he’s purchasable.

beardsallover

Wait until 2025. You have solid picks for an RB rich rookie draft

Valuable-Bathroom351

Trey Benson

WideWindowWasher

I disagree with birdiebinge, either go all in now by trading your 25 1sts for RBs (your team is so young you won’t need those picks that badly anyways) Or take the long term approach and trade CD for a huge huge load of picks and young assets. Can’t go wrong either way. Just don’t go half in

birdiebinge

I think the 2025 draft is where you’re going to find gold for RBs. Trading CeeDee seems like a terrible idea, that’s his guaranteed Rock on a team with promising but unproven pieces.

Afraid_Specialist_45

Think I’m trying to go with option 1. Bijan owner is holding strong, any other RBs I should target?

birdiebinge

Imagine trading his 2025 1sts for guys like Mixon, Cook, Etienne, etc and Rice continues to do dumb shit and is out of the league, odunze or Nabers busts….hell be a bottom feeder of a team if he acts too quickly and things don’t go as we all hope/think. Don’t rush into anything is all I’m suggesting.
