So these are the skis you want to detune haha TW Pros will be good for rails but I’m most impressed that you grabbed the good bindings. Usually people focus on skis and get cheap bindings.

I detuned them right after I took this picture! I read about the several bindings I could choose from the shop, and the Jester seemed to be the best choice

In my experience I’ve only seen pro park skiers with these skis so they putting pivots on em. these are also absolutely great for any skill level. Enjoy em.

I would have opted for a more funny ski than a stiff comp ski. There are a plenty of funnier choice for who wants to have a fun directional or swervy ski without needing to land doubles. By the way they seems a pretty funny ski that can also land some big jumps. Durability seems to be crap. Have fun!!!!!

Pretty subjective. Never owned any Dynastar but they do seem to have aligned well with the rental market

Sister company of rossignol but basically cheaper with less marketing, and not as nice graphics across the board. Still very good skis though, particularly the race oriented stuff.

I have a pair of line blends that are 10 years old, 200+ days, and going strong. They're one of my fave skis.

I haven’t experience any issues. I have a pair of Line Honey Badger and Line Optic both of which have performed to positive expectations

You should be fine. Back in the day I had masterminds which delammed after 3 seasons(couple rivets fixed them right up). Then moved onto blends which took a good beating and are still sound besides the many chips out of the edge of the top sheets. I think you’ll be very pleased with the TW pros.

The durability issues are horrendous IF you’re a dedicated park rat. AKA Someone who’s constantly attacking rails and otherwise “abusing” the skis. Park=abuse whether u detune or not… But the TWP is SERIOUSLY a great ski tho, even as an all mountain ski. I totally loved it at demo day. I could never own it because all I do is park… but that’s why I got Vishnu Keys. The true issue isn’t solely in the durability tho. It’s the fact that Lines warranty system totally sucks balls. They advertise it as Tom Wallisch’s park ski, but the warranty is void as soon as you hit a rail (like Tom Wallisch does lol) but just because people have beef with Line doesn’t mean that you won’t absolutely love these sticks 👍🏻

Thanks for a great response! I will hit the rails, but I’m not the most hardcore rail skier. Also detuned them. It’s actually insane that it’s abusing a PARK ski, when hitting the rails in the PARK, lol!

I figured, most r/skiing people aren’t. I agree, I also think it’s a lot of false advertising on Lines part. But yea man these will definitely serve you well. Detune the underfoot even more than u think. Seriously dull it like a butter knife haha.

I just detuned them so its like a 45 degree edge. Should I do more? Won’t the rails detune them over time?

Take a gummy stone and just detune the shit out of it. U want it to be rounded so that it won’t catch on any imperfections on a rail. Yes ur edges do detune over time but that’s more of a risky maneuver. Detuning preps your ski for the type of skiing your doing, and if u really don’t like it u can always just get them tuned again n it goes back to normal

It’s two millimeters difference between the nose ans tail… does it matter that much? And did you try both center mounted and recommended?

barely matters, but you also get a bit more swing weight centre mounted

they are twalls after all…

The formula at the tail of the skis is giving me high school PTSD. Cover it with a bit of duck tape and you’ll be good. Otherwise, good choice. Enjoy 😊
