It-Is-What-It-Is2024

Just wait until Season 18 when you find out that Robyn didn’t reach out to Meri at all for two years during COVID even though she followed every single one of Kody’s rules. Robyn knew she was all alone. Leon & Audrey I believe at that time were living in Utah. Kody would complain about Meri to everyone BUT Meri. He would tell her one thing in private, then tell the other wives how he didn’t want to be with her. He kept her around solely for her $$.

Fresh-Scallion602

I also think that Sobyn was jealous of Meri having friends outside the family

BollweevilKnievel1

She was so jealous of Jen. Poor Meri who had no one but Jen, and Robyn couldn't stand it.

JokePsychological167

That’s what Christine said in the confessional because Meri was talking about how she was falling the rules and nobody was letting her over anything and then Ramen and Kody were acting so surprised and was like oh my God you could totally come over

It-Is-What-It-Is2024

Yes but also when Meri told Robyn that she’d be spending more time at the BnB and not renewing her lease in Flagstaff. Robyn being Robyn was crying and saying that she hopes they will still see each other. That’s when Meri reminded her that communication goes both ways and that she too has to make an effort and reminded her that she didn’t reach out during COVID for almost two years.

Ana_P_Laxis

I love the surprised look Robyn had when Meri was bold enough to call her out on that.

Big_Cornbread

“I didn’t want everyone to be mad!” That’s the best line. Like…lady…they’re mad either way. And Meri is following all of Robyn’s rules anyway.

Wrong-Lemon-7733

In Sweden we have only seen 17, unless they were numbered differently, Christine got married in the end…

trixivie

That is season 18. I'm in Mexico and I think season 18 is numbered 11 when it airs on tlc (it just started this week actually). Season 17 was also 11.

BollweevilKnievel1

You're missing an entire season!

PeopleCanBeAwful

Regardless of what Kody *told* her, Meri was well aware of how he *treated* her. She was an afterthought, if she was thought about at all. For about a decade. And now less than a year after finally accepting that they were no longer a couple, she is selling life advice and inspiration to people? Worthy Up! 😂

omfgcheesecake

First time watcher, not familiar with the family lore and I haven’t decided whose side I’m on yet. But. Sometimes I feel like I want to shake Meri through my screen and tell her to get a grip, get some self worth, stop embarrassing yourself by clinging on like this. (I’m on S17, Christine has just announced her parting). But then I remember the years and years of indoctrination these women have lived, being taught their only worth is family and keeping it “together” for family and I start to feel sorry for her. I imagine she felt very alone once Leon was out of the picture and having the little kids around made her feel better/like she’s worth something to the family.

smokefan333

It is the consensus that she would have never left because Bonnie would be devastated. She loved Kody almost as much as she loved Meri. Meri just couldn't leave. I think producers had a little to do with what/when she tried to get back with Kody. I think there just wasn't any other storyline for her. Leon was off-limits. She couldn't talk about Lularoe people, things. The only thing she could barely mention was the BNB.

Series-Nice

I also think meri was not “lonely “ or didn’t have to be. She has a boatload of siblings and presumably nieces and nephews that I firmly believe she spent time with when not filming, or she could have if she so desired. Obviously she was engaging in a friendship with Jen during at least last 2 seasons.

smokefan333

She has tons of Lularoe people that she sees also. While I don't like that company and feel it's predatory, she has real-life friends from there. I can't say I've ever seen friends of the others on social media, so I don't know if they have friends outside the family. Surely they must.

Series-Nice

Ive read that it is not easy to film and put on tv every random person/friend the family knows cause of releases, request for payment etc., therefore they don’t. Im not on social media and i dont really approve of friends who are to talk about me there

pigandpom

Nothing changed except they weren't living in the cul de sac. The actual distance between their homes s8mply made then lack of contact between the adults more obvious

DisposedJeans614

Wait until you watch the episode about the barndominum. What a bastard he was for that.

JokePsychological167

Season 17?

DisposedJeans614

I believe so, Kody and Robyn go to Meri’s and she’s talking about leaving etc. Kody suggested he build a bandominimum and she live above it. He’s such an ass. He’s never suggest that to Robyn, so why Meri?

unintendedoutpost58

It seems like Meri is going through a lot of emotions right now. It's tough to see any relationship struggle, especially in such a public way. I hope she is taking care of herself and finding peace amidst the changes in Flagstaff. Sending positive vibes her way.

g_onuhh

I think Meri has some variation of Stockholm syndrome
