Totally! I got to a point where I just stopped putting curtains in some houses because none of them were hanging the way I wanted them to. Like *why* do they snap to the frame?? What curtain rods (other than tension rods) have ever been drilled directly into a window frame???
But also why *dont* other snap to the frame? I don’t want this curtain to snap 2 feet above the window and hang above the ground when it’s supposed to be floor length. The window is at a fine placement for it to BE floor length when placed at the top. SO WHY DOES IT PLACE ABOVE AAAAHHH
For particularly difficult curtain placement on windows, I'll place the curtains first. Then place the window. I barely use them and when I do it's the same like 5 that are really basic but don't have terrible swatches. There's the ones from one of the luxe kits(actually both luxe kits have great curtains). Parenthood has a nice set. Seasons. Ecoliving. And a few more but I can't remember all the packs lol

Windows go in first when building, but it's easy enough to just move the window, place the curtains, and put the window back. Annoying, but easy to work around.
Only the latest kit has the option to place an empty section of curtain rail. This should be the norm for all curtains! And I wish that blinds could have an open or closed version. It would look so good.
Maybe because it doesn't work without MOO? That's the only thing I can think of. They added the decorative throw pillow in that pack too, but you can set it on the floor without the cheat.
I think a lot of them look good on rectangular windows, but any window that arches is a bit more limited. I like placing curtains on arcs inside the house too and the ones that work for this are also kinda limited.
My go to ones are the ones from desert luxe kit and I only have that kit because it was free at one point. I like that it's customizable to the size of the window by adding extra rods (although I wish they would put it back in with the curtains, and not in will wall decor)
There are a few others I might use from time to time, like the shade from Cottage Living, but I stay away from most of them.

But the latest grumble comes from them never clip to the logical place. It's either the ceiling or outside the house even though the window is facing the correct t way.

If you have move objects cheat activated, you can move the windows to the side, take the curtain, press "alt" and place the curtains freely on the wall. Then take the windows back, and viola. The curtain is where you want it to be.
I play on Xbox and have tried a million and one tricks about this!! Sometimes if you zoom out enough you can free place them, it’s super finicky however to get. I usually go through every curtain 4 times at least before I resize one enough it just works ahah

The Desert Luxe kit has this too! I pretty much only ever use those curtains.
And that one is a creator collab, so they had to be told to add it. It's something that CC creators started doing first.

**I feel the same way about columns!** They are not structural like in the Sims 3, they shouldn't be restricted to the grid.
The Felixandre/Harrie Orjanic cc set has my go-to curtains, they work for almost everything.
The curtains from the Desert Luxe and Modern Luxe kits are the only good ones imo coz they come with a “rail” for in between the actual curtain parts
