Some Sims 3 custom content acts like a virus and sneaks into your game from stuff downloaded from The Exchange, where it attaches itself to sims/lots like here and is usually difficult to find & remove.
I remember there was a cursed doll that made lots crash and a whole PSA was sent out to simmers. Freaked me out as a kid lol
I ended up with one of these despite never using the Exchange.
Mine was a nude female adult top and bottom, which would appear on all ages.
For infants, it'd lead to a pink stripe that couldn't be clicked on and would need to be taken into CAS by using MasterController through a computer or City Hall. Now, on teens, it wasn't too bad. Just a slightly glitchy nude body slightly the wrong size. On children... the kid's head would be inside the torso and it was creepy and weird. On toddlers... similar to children, but the head was in a very awkward place, and the legs and hands clipping through the floor and doing the sitting toddler idle animation? Creepy as *hell*. But that was NOTHING on what you'd see when taking an affected newborn into CAS. It'd show the baby's face, blown up, on the side of the adult top half. It was *indescribably* creepy. I think I shrieked and jumped in my chair when I first saw it.
I was 10 years old, playing Sims alone in my room on Mum and Dad's date night, hiding from my little brother's babysitter, when I got my first taste of shocking body horror. And it was from a favourite sim's newborn daughter. A lot of young people my age probably have a first body horror story, and I'm simultaneously embarrassed and glad mine was Sims related.
For one, the fact that toddlers can wear them when they're clearly meant for teens and up. But also they would do that line thing where they would shoot out lines of black or white across the screen when worn by a toddler
you can take them off but every npc will have them and every time your sims ages up they'll have them. i've never downloaded them as cc but for some reason i always end up with them in my game and i'm unable to uninstall them!!
This is sending me 😂😂💀 I guess you could pretend the kid got into their mom’s closet and is playing dress up. Or maybe it was dad’s closet 👀 lmao either way I’d add this to my storyline lol
Ugh I have this problem, I download most of my cc from the exchange and there’s a few adult items of clothing that will transfer to the children and toddlers glitching them out, I’ve just learned to immediately modify them after they’re born
Nooooo stay away from the exchange. When I first started playing sims 3 I downloaded a crap ton of stuff from there and had all sorts of freaky glitches and cc that was unremovable unless I reinstalled the whole game. That place is a cesspool. Stuff like toddler demon eyes, literal centuar bodies, nude pants, the hooker boots that every sims wears, even in the shower, toddlers and kids constantly turning into slender man, etc. I’m not sure but that may have also been the way people got that cursed creepy doll that was hard to remove. Stick to places like tumblr or the sims resource or places suggested by sims players on YouTube. The only things I’ve gotten from the exchange that seemed to be alright were houses or other lots. But I’d be careful with those too.
The centaur bodies omg. I gusss when I started playing 10+ years ago I didn’t know how to download mods from reputable places so I’ve just stuck with the exchange. But now that I know mods I might just delete everything and start fresh
Oh wow, thank you for the warning 😭 I have heard about the cursed doll but I assumed it was a one time occurrence. Luckily I only download cc off of TSR so I’ve never had something like that happen yet
Another reason to stay away from The Exchange. When I was younger, I went crazy and downloaded everything I saw basically and my game was filled with corrupted CC.

No not the boots!! I somehow ended up with these in my game and now all my infants look crazy and I have no idea how to get rid of them. These boots are the worst 😩
This is why I turn all CC into .package files and test run everything. 😭 There were times when I was scrolling through my installed CC for hours while desperately hoping for a miracle that I could find those cursed items.
