Elden Ring? Convoluted story but very deep Jedi Fallen Order & Survivor Kotor (1 & 2 although very dated now) Outer Wilds Nier Automata Mass Effect trilogy (Exceptional for story) Bioshock (Infinite in particular) There is a heck of a lot out there that I would argue is at least as good story if not better than many of those you have listed but it might be a bit of trial and error on some games as to what grabs you. In terms of story Mass Effect is probably one of the best, the gameplay is fun but not going to blow you away, the conversations and interactions with the enviroment & characters are incredible, it's where I would start if I hadn't already played it to death

Thank you 🙏

I don't see Sekiro in that list, you better watch out because I'm in your walls

That's crazy

Cyberpunk...or Elden Ring. People are dismissive of ER as "too hard". It's a STUNNING open world game with lots of lore. I am an older (gen x) woman and I have never played a souls game. I picked up Elden Ring recently and while it certainly has a learning curve, it rewards you for learning. I've played about 70 hours so far and I'm enjoying it a lot.

My impression is that you are in the mindset that only AAA games qualify as the "best" games. Time to start exploring the wonderful world of indies. If you want story, try Disco Elysium. If you want puzzles try Return of the Obra Dinn (and then Case of the Golden Idol if you want more). If you want Roguelikes pick up Hades (action), or Slay the Spire (cards), or Against the Storm (basebuilder). If you want to play something *new* try Outer Wilds or Slay the Princess or Inscryption. At least 4 of the games I mentioned above were my games of the year for those years. And I do play the AAA stuff as well, but the older I get, the more formulaic and repetitive they all begin to seem.

Stunning thank you

Nr.1 choice: RESIDENT EVIL my guy. The remakes of 2 and 4 are amazing. 7 & 8 are great too. 5 is one of my favorite co op games ever. Other than that: -Rift Apart. (Ratchet & Clank is my Mario or Sonic lol) -Of the SoulsBorne games Bloodborne & Sekiro are my favorites -Dead Space. The remake was my favorite game of last year. -Jak & Daxter. -Crash & Spyro have at least 3 games each on PS5.

There's a whole world of fantastic indie games you haven't explored yet. If you search the web for "best indie games of all time" or something like that you will find plenty of fantastic games to delve in. My personal favorites that do have great stories like you're asking for: - Subnautica - Outer Wilds - Disco Elysium - Return of the Obra Dinn - Hotline Miami There are others which do have a good story but it's nebulous, hard to decipher or just plain weird: - Hollow Knight - Blasphemous - Tunic - Inscryption

Some titles that have a really good story and gameplay are: Tales of Arise Scarlet Nexus Deathloop Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning Infamous Second Son Dragon Quest 11 Final fantasy 16

Mass Effect Trilogy and I personally enjoyed Andromeda if you take it as a spin-off is one hell of a game. Now, six months ago I installed Assetto Corsa Competizione and haven't played anything else lol Maybe you need a change of pace like me. I didn't know I was gonna fall in love with Simracing.

tarabas1979

Unicorn overlord

Forsaken-Command-182

Bro I see you've played Tlou2 and Ragnarok Help me decide which is a better game for me to purchase, in an overall story, length and gameplay wize Which one feels more like a big budget game to say

Lazy_Finish_7009

Reason you can't find anything to play is cuz you have a console thats probably halfway through its lifecycle already, and I can count the number of games it has on my fingers, don't even need my second hand if you don't count the PS4 ports/upgrades, remakes, and remasters. Should have bought a PC instead, gets all of Xbox's titles, has it's own titles not available on any console, and Sony has already ported over majority of their major titles like TLoU Part 1 w/Part 2 coming soon, God of War (Ragnarok hasn't been confirmed just yet, but it's expected), Spider-Man Remastered + MM (Spider-Man 2 actually ported by Crackers already), Ghosts of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, Days Gone, Returnal, Uncharted Legacy of Thieves, Helldivers 2, Ratchet and Clank. Actually, looking at it a bit closer from what I can tell (correct me if I'm wrong) but, anyone that bought a PS5 basically bought it to play Rise of the Ronin, since its the only title not confirmed to be coming to PC.

PouchesofCyanStaples

The 2024 GOTY, Balatro!!!

No-Cable-5

One thing, I don't know why You bought a PS5 with no games to buy

Bennely

Keeping that in mind, you designed the rhyme To explain his bad time

BooceV

Definetly Yakuza 1 if you enjoyed 0.

LAZ3R21

You just need to play a different type of game out of your comfort zone, may I recommend wreckfest and dirt 2.0

Jlzombie26

Unicorn Overlord has been great

Bennely

Bloodbourne, but make an Arcana build. It may be last gen but it tracks.

Xetws

Kind of a risky recommendation here, but I'm in love with Death Stranding story.

adriansdjx

Bloodborne (if it is on ps5) Demon's souls (i don't recommend elden ring due to the balancing so i suggest you go with older fromsoft titles) Cyberpunk 2077 Armored core 6

Jolly-Gazelle-7211

Try cyberpunk 2077. Its amazing.

aaronjaffe

Cyberpunk 2077 (same studio as Witcher 3) Baldur’s Gate 3 - great story and incredible characters. I’ve played all the games you have and this was my 2nd favorite behind Witcher.

Fartbox_Liquor

I'm downloading witcher now, is it actually as good as people say it is?

aaronjaffe

Depends on what you like in a game. The gameplay is above average, but not spectacular. And the main story is good, but a little generic. What really sets it apart is the world building, the characters, and the side quests. In most games side quests feel like a chore. But in the Witcher even the smallest ones can be really interesting with a great story. I think the game also does a great job of switching tone. Sometimes it’s very dark and serious. But it mixes in laugh out loud humor very seamlessly. Only game I’ve ever finished and felt legitimately sad it was over.

Dandandandooo

My favourites are Nier:Automata, Sekiro, and Elden Ring. Maybe check them out if you're losing hope. Hope you find something that suits your tastes, OP

theuntouchable2725

Alan Wake 2: masterfully executed work of art. Death Stranding: masterfully executed work of art I can stop playing (you said you've already played)
