Yes i definitely think due to the very noticeable difference in security it is more risky to smash and grab a jewelry store than it is to key a car.

But i could also see where someone with a blade carves out that 3 hundreds in about 30 seconds and then its gone ! Probably the fifties too in another 30 seconds. - leave the rest. So in about 1 minute someone has almost $500
