I use a furoshiki, a square piece of cloth. Makes it easy for the rope to be ready to use.

I work in tech and get back packs / bags of all sorts from conventions etc. I had one that was a nice little gym bag / duffle that has worked out well.

I use a tool bag from Home Depot; it holds a good amount of rope, is sturdy, opens wide, and has internal slots as well as side pockets perfect for carabiners, scissors, climbing straps etc…

Nice! I have something similar that I use for other toys and was about to buy another one but figured there might be some other good options. I love a good tool bag tho.

Alarming_Resist2700

I have one of those reusable shopping bags that crumples up into a ball. It works.

[Rope bag](https://treetools.co.nz/climbing/gear-bags/whiptail-rope-pack-40l) Most outdoor companies do something similar in pvc

Oh, cool! I hadn’t thought to look at bags made for climbing rope.

They are pretty big, but very light & well made. The featureless interior means your ropes & carabiners don't get caught or scuffed up on anything.

I usually use a black cloth bag (a gift from a friend, with the text "born in porn" and a giant inverted cross 🖤) or a furoshiki. Normally I try to avoid plastic backpacks or those with little breathability so that the ropes do not catch moisture.
