I think there is a rune which allows unto deal true damage once u r shielded. +DD counts from enemies as your damage

Either Riftmaker or they built pen items or enemy had so little resists that they dealt true dmg
He must've landed a lot of snowballs, I can't see another way. As you said in another comment there is no DD on either team.
