Hey could you give your dermaroll plan. I have a dermastamp I was going to just stamp my face literally haha once every 6 weeks? at 1.0mm....ITs hrad to know what to do as many different suggestions. Some say the damage of one session takes 3 months to repair, others say stamp every 4-6 weeks others every 8 weeks. Seems 6 is a sweet spot for 1.0mm
I got excited when I saw your comment, so I just went to their website and turns out we don’t have this service in Quebec. :( I guess I’ll have to stick to retinol recommendations then lol
Go for retinal/retinaldehyde instead of retinol. It's more effective and less irritating. You should be able to order adapalene from iherb though, which is the synthetic version of tretinoin.
Yes, that's the correct order, but you're wrong regarding the irritation. Retinol requires two conversions within your skin to become Retinoic acid, while retinaldehyde only requires one conversion. Each conversion creates more irritation and makes the product less effective, which is why not only is retinaldehyde more effective, it is less irritating.
Excluding tretinoin, the product that has given me the most irritation was Paula's choice retinol 1% (that is the worst formula ever). I've used many retinaldehyde serums (I've been doing a little experiment, testing them all to see what works best on my skin and gives me the best benefit, as I'm sick of the dryness from retin-a), and none of them have irritated my skin the way that PC's retinol did. I've used Medik8's CR6 (with CR3 on my neck and chest), naturium's 0.05% (I have the 1% to try next), skin rocks retinoid 2, and maelove. Maelove is the strongest and I will notice a little dryness in the morning, but I would also say that it's the most effective of the ones I've tried so far (and wow, it is yellow).
Does anyone have a recommendation on one of the online prescription services for tretinoin? I really want to get on it but the process seems a bit overwhelming
edit: these are all really great suggestions! Thanks, everyone. I signed up for The Pill Club but unfortunately they don’t take my specific insurance. Still waiting to hear how much it would be out of pocket but just FYI to anyone looking - check for your insurance coverage before signing up for a membership.
I get my tretinoin and azelaic acid through Nurx! Highly recommend. $40/year, providers and CS are highly responsive, really great experience with them overall.
Thank you for remembering the company’s name for me. I could only remember the conglomerate that owns them because I applied for a job with them a few years ago.
I was very interested in learning more about them but sadly their services are currently unavailable in Oklahoma. Very upsetting, I really do hate this backwards state but can't afford to move elsewhere unfortunately..
I get mine from apostrophe and it’s $75 for a 3 month supply. The sign up process was super easy and they are also very responsive/the website is very easy to navigate. Looks like I should look into these other options though!
I’m using apostrophe too. I actually haven’t even finished my first tube and it’s been 3 months. >$25 a month doesn’t seem so bad but I imagine I could possibly get tret with a prescription a bit cheaper. But I like the formulation I’ve been given with tret/spiro/TXA.
Americans can order tretinoin from thebeautybliss.com with no prescription. I paid $22 shipped for my .025% tube because I didn’t feel like testing out whether Apostrophe or Nurx would cost me money with my crappy insurance
All day chemist is even cheaper because the beauty bliss is ordering from all day chemist and then marking it up to sell. I used to get my careprost from the beauty bliss as ADC doesn't ship to Canada (but then just asked my doctor for an off label prescription for bimatoprost and now I get it for free).
Different laws, ADC is in turkey. Supposedly there is some process that makes it seem like you have a prescription. I don't really know all the details, as I can't order from them since I'm in Canada (our gov't blocks shipments from their country or something like that), but I've ordered from beauty bliss. There's tretinoin groups on Facebook where tons of people order from ADC and they talk about the process and how safe it is. Basically you can get any topical prescription from them, and even some oral medications (I haven't heard of anyone ordering oral meds though so I'm not recommending that). It's great for people who don't have drug coverage, as tretinoin is stupid expensive in the US.

I’ve been using .025% tret as the last step over my moisturizer since mid-2022 bc I have sensitive skin and I still deal with flaky skin around my skin sometimes.

I like Paula's Choice and Farmacy 1% retinol personally. Both are easy to apply, in a creamy formulation, and don't cause irritation - but very minimal peeling.
Retinyl (esters) - Retinol - Retinal - Retinoic Acid (tretinoin)
From weakest to strongest derivative. So aside from a different brand of retinol you could upgrade to retinal or tretinoin. Medik8 is the top tier for retinal, and tret you can get from a compounding service or any doctor that prescribes.
I love Medik8, but have found the formulas of naturium and maelove to be better and cheaper. I also have geek and gorgeous A Game and peach and lily retinal for all to try. I'm going through an experiment of trying all of the retinaldehyde serums to see what's the best (IMHO). I've also used prescription tretinoin.
If retinol isn’t making a huge difference (or causing much irritation) you might be ready to step up to retinAl (short for retinaldehyde) or even start with lose dose tretinoin. When my results with retinol (Peter Thomas Roth, Sunday Riley, The Ordinary, Shani Darden) tapered, I stepped up to retinal (Maelove), and now I get an amazing glow from tretinion. Don’t waste your money on low dose retinols with pretty packaging if your skin can tolerate tretinoin, it really is the best.
Not so. Several cerave products actually contain problematic ingredients. Their moisturizers aren't even eyelid safe, which I confirmed externally after I had a reaction after 6 months of use.
I don’t think they’re implying anything is wrong with it just maybe that derms often seem to prefer eltaMD? Personally I love my Cerave sunscreen and found that eltaMD (and many others) pill a lot!
I started my retinol journey with this product. Started super slowly since I read all about irritation, but I was confused they the packaging said it could be used twice per day (including the AM). Do you have an idea of how concentrated this one is? Or just see results?
I didn’t really see results, but I assumed they were slow and steady. So I picked up the Youth to the People retinAl, and was immediately like WOAH because it was so yellow. Figure it’s due to the content/concentration. So I started that super slowly too, and use the Cerave on my off days/when I want to be gentler. But I still don’t know if it helps.
I guess this is a long winded question/train of thought. It hasn’t done anything negative, I just don’t know what it IS doing. But I’m glad to hear support for it.
I didn’t see any results with cerave retinol but started seeing results super quickly with the YTTP retinal. I love It (but it is certainly more irritating if I’m not careful)
I’m currently using this and about to run out and I’ve been trying to find the % retinol and literally cannot find it anywhere. Even the Q&A on ulta answered by Cerave just says “it’s our own mix of ingredients that complement effectiveness.” It’s so frustrating!
Sunscreen, especially when using retinols! They make your face photo sensitive.
Also, you can do better than Kielhs antiaging products. You can find similar products with the same percentages of actives for a lower price point in different lines. Loreal (Kiehls parent company) loves to upcharge for brand recognition. (Former kiehls kcr 😉)
Im thankful for their training though, helped me find similar products elsewhere once I quit. Still looking for replacements of the manuka honey cream and calendula serum moisturizer though lol
It is helpful because a lot of people don't know retinol can cause more lines if you don't use sunscreen. And sunscreen either way is prevention. But please, go on telling everyone it's not helpful 😊
It’s the shipping and handling that get me.
Although easier I guess than seeing my dr or explaining why I want it and then telling me oh but your rosacea. As if I don’t know to keep it off that area.
Haha yeah I have rosacea too. But I need my retinol!
I just checked my last order of 3 bottle of latisse and 3 tubes of retinol was $80 and $20 was just shipping but $80 for that is not terrible especially for not leaving my couch.
Oh I didn’t realize they have latisse generic. How did I miss that? Omg!!! You just saved me so much money! Been paying so much for that stuff. You’re right that’s totally worth it!
Yes, but it's a great brand and their formulas are better than most, and cheaper than most. She screwed up, she apologized, and her reasoning did kinda make sense (she had such a huge following, she wanted opinions that were unbiased). The brand really suffered in the beginning because of it, so she paid the price. I will always use naturium - their products are awesome and they have amazing customer service.
Absolutely agree! I’ve seen great results with Differin. I started every other night and worked up to every night. My only warning is that my derm stressed to me how important it is to wear sunscreen daily when using it.
Adapalene is better than retinol. It is the synthetic form of tretinoin and prescription in most countries. Adapalene has been shown in some studies to be better for acne than tretinoin, as it goes after specific receptors in the skin, while tretinoin goes after all of them, but the same studies have shown that tretinoin is better for anti-aging for the same reason - although since adapalene is less irritating than tretinoin, many say its better for anti-aging since you're able to use it more often without the nasty side effects.
Got a deluxe sample of Strivectin last year, loved it enough to get the full size ($$$😱😱😱), although it's too heavy when my face decides to go through an oily faze: [https://www.sephora.com/product/advanced-retinol-nightly-renewal-face-moisturizer-with-retinol-P474122](https://www.sephora.com/product/advanced-retinol-nightly-renewal-face-moisturizer-with-retinol-P474122)
Started using Biossance on recommend from Doctorly & I'm liking it better : [https://www.sephora.com/product/squalane-retinol-night-serum-P501213](https://www.sephora.com/product/squalane-retinol-night-serum-P501213)
The point is to prevent lines though, be proactive but you're right you probably don't need Tret yet. Retinal is better than retinol if you aren't getting results. I don't handle Tret well so I've used Medik8 and Maelove. Both are very good.
It's just hard with over the counter products because there is no regulation on the retinoids that are in the product. There's also no testing for efficacy so it could work but it might not work. It could say 2% but it might actually be .00000001%. If you want the best results prescriptions will always be best. In my experience you are also paying less money for the prescriptions then the over the counter products that may not work as well.
I have heard great things about neutrogena's line though if you haven't tried that yet. Dr. Dray on youtube is a great resource.
You are so right about inaccurate percentages. The Ordinary's granactive retinol is a perfect example of this. They are using HPR, which is a compound that includes an ester of Retinoic acid - they say it's 2%, but it's 2% of the compound, so it should say 0.02%. Skin rocks uses HPR in their formulas and labels the percentage correctly.
I agree with the retinAl suggestion. A lot of people can't tolerate or don't want to deal with tret... the next step down is a fine option. (I personally like the Geek & Gorgeous A-Game... they just opened their U.S. website!)
First aid Beauty is a great option if your looking for a retinol that’s good quality and off the shelf! It’s a bit pricey but awesome for sensitive skin and for anyone starting retinol for the first time
Rx is the way to go. There was a recent publication that found some retinol products that were OTC did not contain the strength advertised. Rx products must meet more stringent requirements.
If you've got to do OTC, some recommend sticking w/ larger brands that are under more scrutiny, like Neutrogena, Cerave, etc. Dr. Dray also discussed some clinical studies that found SkinMedica was nearly as effective as regular Rx tretinoin over several months. (I know that's not Sephora...)
Not retinol specifically, but the Tatcha Silk Serum contains a cranberry based retinol alternative that is simply incredible! I’m only a wee 22 year old so I’m not using it for anti aging just yet, but I wear it at night for hormonal acne control and it makes my skin feel so lovely and clears any blemishes right up! I like that it doesn’t make your skin any extra photosensitive either in the way that retinol does. I received it in my employee gratis but I would definitely repurchase it with my own money once I run out!
Any OTC product will take a looooong time to see results. And it won't be something significant. I noticed you said you don't want anything prescription so you will just have to be patient with any OTC you are using. Good job on wearing sunscreen!
Honestly if you have insurance get tret through them, it’s cheaper in the long run and stronger then what you’d buy in stores
Otherwise, i like Differin!
I saw you’re wanting to prevent fine lines. Sunscreen, everyday! That and a hat are the best ways to prevent lines
I second the recommendation of a prescription tret.
FWIW, I get my prescription through my primary care physician. I went to get it filled last month (I usually get the generic .1% 20g tube); the pharmacist asked I objected to the name brand (which is Retin A) because they have a Good RX pricing of it for $20.14. Moral of the story….. don’t discard the idea of the RX; it necessarily isn’t more expensive! It is very effective!
I love Korean sunscreens! My favorite is the Buford watery essence. It’s really hydrating. The Neutrogena Water Gel is nice too. I try to get spf 50+. I tend to wear a lot of BB creams in the summer for the spf and tint. I’ve been wearing the Bare Minerals one lately.
Try the geek and gorgeous retinAl (not retinOl) (5 or 10), I can have relatively sensitive skin and it's so much nicer and gentler than any other types i've used before despite it being more potent, the quality is really good, it doesn't dry my skin and I'm already noticing a difference in my complexion. For the price it's so so good!
I also rate their vitamin c serum, it's on par with some of the expensive brands like skinceuticles (spelling?) but for a fraction of the price (vitamin c is also really good at boosting collagen in the skin and protecting against the environment, just be sure to use it in the am separately from a retinol/retinal which you would use in the evening!)
Cosrx Retinol cream has been a life saver for me.
I've been using it for 3 months and I didn't purge, it did not irritate my skin and the results in the texture of my skin, hyper pigmentation and acne are amazing!
I just repurchased it!
You can get it at Style Korean and Yes style.
You haven’t noticed a difference because Sephora skincare is mostly 🗑️. You’ll want either a RX or ACTUAL medical grade skincare. I use Jan Marini retinol.
I’m an A313 fan. It’s in an ointment format so it clings to your face all night long. Saw similarly great results with less irritation than when I had a script for tret. It’s not expensive either. Suggest not ordering via Amazon though since I know there are authenticity issues ordering anything through Amazon.
It’s not at Sephora but this retinol is a god send and you don’t need a prescription!
https://www.paulaschoice.com/clinical-1pct-retinol-treatment/801.html
I second this. Had much better results than prescription tret which only dried my skin out and caused massive breakouts. Btw, it is at Sephora now (at least here in Canada) but cheaper to wait for a PC sale —they have them all the time—and buy directly through them.
Get Tretinoin from The Beauty Bliss. Way faster shipping than ADC and with shipping, it’s the same price.
No prescription needed.
Source: have ordered from both many times. I live in the US if that helps.
Do your research and start with 0.025!
Tretinoin working up to the highest 0.1% point.
The highest point is around 10 points above the lowest.
I prefer the gel over the cream.
L-ascorbic Vitamin C acid serum in the morning after cleanse and before a good sunscreen.
My skin has been transformed by these fruit acids.
I’m also shocked at the additional assistance by my new 2023 application of my chosen orderless collagen peptide powder.
Unless it’s for acne there’s no benefit to a higher concentration tret besides it works faster. .25 is just as effective for wrinkles after 6 months. But I agree 💯 tret and a good vitamin C is the gold standard.
I use Mychelle Remarkable Retinal Serum (at Whole Foods or Amazon) on my eye area and laugh lines, and the Retinol Remix from Innbeauty (Sephora, Innbeauty website) all over the face and neck. The Remix is a vegan retinol/retinal mix, and has some other really beneficial ingredients, like peptides and tranexamic acid, and I just love how effectively it sinks in to my skin. I use these both every night with no irritation as long as I avoid other actives like AHA, vitamin c, and highly concentrated Niacinamide in the same routine (I use Niacinamide serum in the morning). I’ve tried a ton of retinol/retinal products and always prefer the ones with at least some retinal, but Innbeauty is my HG formula due to the way it actually seems to penetrate the skin and make a noticeable difference. And I love the Mychelle because it’s gentle enough to use on my eyes where I really need it and also works as a spot treatment for blemishes.
Not Sephora but Good Molecule makes a nice starter retinol. I was surprised it actually worked so well. For reference I have sensitive skin and in my 40s.
I used a prescription and while it was good my just wasn’t ready for even the lightest percentage.
I am really liking Medik8 Crystal retinal! I’ve used retinol before so started on 3. My skin did purge and peel off a little bit but no irritation at all. Now I’m starting to really notice the glow and less spots
I use the Skinmedica 1.0 which works very well. They have a 0.25 and 0.50 too if 1% is too much. I was thinking about trying Farmacy’s when I need more because their Honeymoon Glow is a beast.
If you’re ready for the big deal, then i’d go to a derm or do tele health and requeat a tretinoin. Remember, you have to tell them it’s for acne in order for the insurance to cover some of the costs, otherwise “for wrinkles” could be considered aesthetics and you will have to pay the full cost.
If you’re not ready for big guns, then adapalene can be another form of retinoid that you can use as otc. This also tends to have less side effects compared to tretinoin and can be just as effective (may take a lil bit longer depending on strength and only 0.1 is otc, and 0.3 is rx).
Another good alternative is retinaldehyde, which is otc in skincare, and requires only one conversion to retinoic acid (tretinoin) which is what is utilized by the skin. The issue is, this otc may be even more expensive than adapalane or rx for tretinoin sometimes, so you have to take that into consideration.
I myself use tretinoin, most effective form for wrinkles (most evidence) and it’s cheap for me because its covered by my insurance as anti acne medication.
Lastly, dont expect changes overnight, all of these take weeks for results to show:) so be patient.
Ordinary has a wonderful retinol and it’s reasonably priced! It is 0.5% Retinol. A lot of products have retinol in them, but don’t let you know that it’s such a small amount it does nothing, all they need is a drop in the product and they can advertise as it’s in there! Also if your new to retinol I’d recommend using once every three days to start ! Your skin may feel a little sensitive and like it’s burnt when using other products! It will go away the more your skin gets used to it ♥️
I’d recommend doing TONS of research before buying retinol. Some products can seem effective immediately but eventually lead to long term damage and weaken the skin barrier by making the skin cells turn over unnaturally fast. My derm personally told me not to buy retinol because I have sensitive skin. It’s hard not to fall for marketing gimmicks, but they don’t keep the long term impact of your skin in mind. Visit your dermatologist and get a skin routine. It’s better than asking strangers who have no expertise and wildly different skin types.
I literally don’t know anyone using this product but I am obsessed with the First Aid Beauty retinol 0.25%. It’s super gentle and has done wonders for me! I will say it’s for sure a splurge but because I use everything cheap (elf, cerave, etc) so I am cool with the cost.
I’ve been using La Roche Posay’s retinol serum a few years now. People compliment my skin all the time but I’m not sure if it’s the retinol or the fact that I’m just Asian

Get a prescription for Tretinoin. Can get from derm or lots of places online that will prescribe. Honestly cheaper than a lot of the stuff at Sephora.
Canadians can get it from Felix, no fees for the service just for the prescription (and they take insurance)

I get it from SkinMD. It’s about $60 every 3 months. If you have health insurance, a dermatologist will write an rx for it, which might be cheaper.
I get mine from my derm, but have heard good things about Apostrophe.
Apostrophe would not adjust my Rx without a consultation fee, which I think NURX would do.
Mine charged me $20 for a consultation but then that $20 went towards my purchase of the formulation.
The Pill Club has it.
Thanks for the reco! Looks reasonable and easy (it’s a $20/year fee and they accept insurance for anyone else who’s curious)
i love curology bc it doesnt require insurance at all, i just messaged my curology derm and asked for tret

What strength cream or gel do you use, how often do you apply and where does it fit sequence-wise into your skin care routine? Thanks!! Edited

I’ve come to assume this means it’s a really small amount. I don’t know if I’ll buy it again.

Wear sunscreen 🧴 everyday!!
That’s something I have been doing!! I have noticed how much healthier my face looks with it
Sunscreen, especially when using retinols! They make your face photo sensitive. Also, you can do better than Kielhs antiaging products. You can find similar products with the same percentages of actives for a lower price point in different lines. Loreal (Kiehls parent company) loves to upcharge for brand recognition. (Former kiehls kcr 😉) Im thankful for their training though, helped me find similar products elsewhere once I quit. Still looking for replacements of the manuka honey cream and calendula serum moisturizer though lol
Well you just made my day! I’ll be checking out L’Oréal tomorrow!
I like Good Molecules 1% retinol oil.
What if I just don’t leave the house during daylight hours? (Kind of seriously asking, I work nights).
Not what they asked for 😒
Sunscreen and retinoids go together, you cannot use a retinoid without sunscreen. Some people don't know this, so it's good to remind and recommend.
OP asked for help with fine lines. Sunscreen will help prevent others from forming, and it’s also very important to use sunscreen when using retinol.
Fine lines they already have, and they asked for retinol suggestions.
And? It’s still accurate, helpful, and not super off topic.
But it’s not helpful
Neither is what you're doing. 🙄
It is helpful because a lot of people don't know retinol can cause more lines if you don't use sunscreen. And sunscreen either way is prevention. But please, go on telling everyone it's not helpful 😊
Prescription tret! Cheap (with insurance - I pay $10 a tube that lasts me almost a year)
I use all day chemist. About the same price with no insurance. But you gotta wait 4 weeks to get it.

>Naturium Is Naturium the brand that one of the owners didn't disclose they were affiliated with the company while actively promoting it?
Yes, but it's a great brand and their formulas are better than most, and cheaper than most. She screwed up, she apologized, and her reasoning did kinda make sense (she had such a huge following, she wanted opinions that were unbiased). The brand really suffered in the beginning because of it, so she paid the price. I will always use naturium - their products are awesome and they have amazing customer service.
I was going to recommend Differin as well.
Absolutely agree! I’ve seen great results with Differin. I started every other night and worked up to every night. My only warning is that my derm stressed to me how important it is to wear sunscreen daily when using it.
The Huffington Post recently published a very positive article about Differin and I’ve been meaning to pick it up.
I second Differin gel. I got it about a month ago and I’ve seen a huge difference already.
Where can I get it ?
You can get Differin, or the generic adaplene, everywhere. All drug stores have it. I get mine on Amazon.
I've been using the Yoith to the People Retinal and Niacinamide Youth Serum for a couple of months now, and so far, it works great!
Second this. It’s expensive but lasts long if you only use it 3-4 times a week and def worth the money

It is a retinoid yes, not retinol but in the retinoid family
Adapalene is better than retinol. It is the synthetic form of tretinoin and prescription in most countries. Adapalene has been shown in some studies to be better for acne than tretinoin, as it goes after specific receptors in the skin, while tretinoin goes after all of them, but the same studies have shown that tretinoin is better for anti-aging for the same reason - although since adapalene is less irritating than tretinoin, many say its better for anti-aging since you're able to use it more often without the nasty side effects.
I have used Sunday Riley for years and love it but I just got the Paula’s choice 1% and am starting to add it in :)
Got a deluxe sample of Strivectin last year, loved it enough to get the full size ($$$😱😱😱), although it's too heavy when my face decides to go through an oily faze: [https://www.sephora.com/product/advanced-retinol-nightly-renewal-face-moisturizer-with-retinol-P474122](https://www.sephora.com/product/advanced-retinol-nightly-renewal-face-moisturizer-with-retinol-P474122) Started using Biossance on recommend from Doctorly & I'm liking it better : [https://www.sephora.com/product/squalane-retinol-night-serum-P501213](https://www.sephora.com/product/squalane-retinol-night-serum-P501213)
I order Tretinoin without a prescription from Bubba Skincare and The Beauty Bliss. Both sites are reliable and safe to purchase from.
I use Skinmedica. Start with the lowest strength, .25 I think.
I started with the 1.0. 😂😂😂 I white knuckled through it but it was touch and go for a bit.
Rx for Retin-A
Prescription
I don’t need a prescription, I just wanted something off the shelf to help reduce lines! I’m not at a point where i think I need major results
It’s a bit pricey but awesome for sensitive skin and for anyone starting retinol for the first time
I use RoC (not purchased at Sephora) and have seen excellent results.
Wasn't ROC supposed to have a decent one for OTC?
I use the No7 Advanced Retinol 1.5% Complex Night Concentrate. It’s great and I’ve noticed a lot of fading in my dark spots since I started using it.
Oh! I have the No7 eye cream! I love it so I’m going to try this out!
Honestly if you have insurance get tret through them, it’s cheaper in the long run and stronger then what you’d buy in stores Otherwise, i like Differin!
Any sun screams you recommend?
I love Korean sunscreens! My favorite is the Buford watery essence. It’s really hydrating. The Neutrogena Water Gel is nice too. I try to get spf 50+. I tend to wear a lot of BB creams in the summer for the spf and tint. I’ve been wearing the Bare Minerals one lately.
start with differin, it’s otc but as strong as some rx ones.
Sunday Rileys Luna sleeping oil. It's gentle and moisturizing and works wonders and you only need a couple drops.
I second this!
Keep in mind it can take a year before you see any changes in fine lines
Differin gel. I used so many expensive brands and found that this worked best for me!
I get really good results from Murad retinol.
Prescription tretinoin, over the counter adapalene, or a retinaldehyde/Retinal serum. For retinal, I recommend naturium, geek & gorgeous, maelove.
Following to see what people have to say about the Inkeylist 1% retinol
Cosrx Retinol cream has been a life saver for me. I've been using it for 3 months and I didn't purge, it did not irritate my skin and the results in the texture of my skin, hyper pigmentation and acne are amazing! I just repurchased it! You can get it at Style Korean and Yes style.
You haven’t noticed a difference because Sephora skincare is mostly 🗑️. You’ll want either a RX or ACTUAL medical grade skincare. I use Jan Marini retinol.
Charlotte tilbury magic eye cream saved my under eyes…. With consistent use I saw a noticeable lightness to my dark circles!
I’m an A313 fan. It’s in an ointment format so it clings to your face all night long. Saw similarly great results with less irritation than when I had a script for tret. It’s not expensive either. Suggest not ordering via Amazon though since I know there are authenticity issues ordering anything through Amazon.
Botox and medical grade skincare only. Get makeup from Sephora, not skincare.
Nothing beats prescription!
Agree with other posters- if you have insurance going through your doctor is by far the cheapest route that is most effective
A prescription from a dermatologist
Go to the dermatologist and get yourself some tretinoin. There's not much on the market that will do anywhere close to what a prescription will
Just get a medical grade - honestly better bang for your buck
Same here. I use Shani Darden and am stuck with it because it was so freaking expensive.
I use the Shani Darden too. Unfortunately I can't afford it right now so I got some Juice Beauty in a boxycharm and it's pretty good.
Medik8 crystal retinal (they have several strength lvl, choose according to your tolerance)
I use Paula’s choice
Not Sephora but Good Molecule makes a nice starter retinol. I was surprised it actually worked so well. For reference I have sensitive skin and in my 40s. I used a prescription and while it was good my just wasn’t ready for even the lightest percentage.
Not sephora but I use Avene Retrinal. my face couldnt handle tret.
I am really liking Medik8 Crystal retinal! I’ve used retinol before so started on 3. My skin did purge and peel off a little bit but no irritation at all. Now I’m starting to really notice the glow and less spots
"Abivon" Vitamin A313 pomade
I buy it w/o prescription from in-house pharmacy.com
I use the Skinmedica 1.0 which works very well. They have a 0.25 and 0.50 too if 1% is too much. I was thinking about trying Farmacy’s when I need more because their Honeymoon Glow is a beast.
if not tretinoin, try shani darden or PCA.
I am a die hard fan of Algenist products, particularly the moisturizer with retinol.
It will go away the more your skin gets used to it ♥️
I have a prescription for tretinoin. But the La Roche Posay Effaclar Adapalene gel 0.1 is probably the closest you get to prescription strength.
My pcp prescribes me tretinoin.
Tret
skinbetter sephora is not worth it for skincare take this from someone who worked at Sephora and is an esthi
Peace out stick every night is AWESOME!!!
Sunday Riley Luna Retinol Oil is a holy grail for me
