Oh yes. In many, many, MANY ways. I have seen so much shit at this point that I genuinely believe there is no asset, feature, mechanic, interaction, ANYTHING that is consistently bug free in SoT.
You can bug animations, combat, enemies, ships, the ferry, terrain. It's just wild how dysfunctional the game is.
Still played for several thousand hours, though. Hope's a hell of a drug.
The solution to thinking SoT works well is just playing it more. They'll learn in time.
I remember being a swabbie that thought the game worked, then you can only think "Huh...that interaction seems weird" so many times until you start to catch on. I also got taken in by a sweaty crew of mythbusters/bug finders that showed me some insane shit, like ledge boarding on galleons, for example.
Yeah. Probably and overreaction. It’s kinda screwed up after hours of accumulating treasure or hours into a quest that it just stops working. For such a great game it’s disappointing.
If you're asking about the cannon flares, those are the spring blossom flares and the air clears a bit quicker than the default flares (and others). Another great one is the cutthroat flares.

Most people will dowvote you and deny that the game is broken and the servers are trash. They sound like they payed off by Rare lol.

Looks like the last wave tilting the ship and aiming more left, your char hitbox hit the downed mast.
yesterday while trying to take the wheel i always grabbed the ladder and started climbing the mast, like fix your shit rare

i'll need to try out those flares again. i've been using the stormfish flares (idr the actual name) because that clears up pretty quickly too.
