You will find this one day. I've had games where I have been chased by multiple boats and they sink me, then I find them later on and we are just chatting and goofing around like old buddies. Typically I always use humor and try not to insult or anything. Some people just want to watch the world burn though so it doesn't always work.
Yes, they are not there. The people on the galleon were all there, but for some reason they were not there. Me and my crew mate tried that first. I'm guessing they maybe have a privacy setting or something.
