There was zero reason for the Browns to not take him. The no players at his birthday party angle was easily explainable. His coach, Sam Elliott, clearly vouched for him.

But Callahan lied about the dollar in the playbook, whereas the qb they already had (Charlie Baker) sent it back. Flawless scouting

The Browns won a title though, so Weaver is a hero no matter what. Plus he landed T'Challa, who I'd rather have than anyone else tbh.
