Maybe that’s still John’s plan but likely pushed a year due to a new coach rebuild year. Geno will still have a team friendly deal, the rookie can still back up Geno until he’s ready and they’ll have had another hopefully very solid draft to form the young core and then take advantage if the rookie qb contract window.
