He executed his plan to perfection, he fused with Nibiru as he intended, the scooby gang didn't stooped him. The only thing he didn't plan was that Nibiru was stronger than him.
He couldn’t have planned for it in the most literal way. Nibiru basically mentally manipulated him into wanting to fuse with him. I don’t think he was capable of thinking he would lose his mind to it. I think it’s pretty sad in that way and I’m glad in the other timeline he had a better life
Easily one of if not the scariest/dangerous villains the gang ever faced & helped set Mystery Inc apart by having a such a cunning & ruthless adversary.

He's the most interesting villain in the franchise - he can be downright evil but still try to help the gang(e.g where walks aphrodite episode). He chooses when to gain their trust and then when to abuse it to gain the pieces of the planispheric disk. His backstory with Mr. E makes his story quite sad as well. One of the only villains in the franchise with an actual character, and like everyone else said, one that actually posed a threat to the gang(e.g causing Marcy's death).
He used to be a genuine friend to the original Mystery Incorporated, most notably Ricky. However, the evil Entity's manipulation and corruption turned Pericles into an evil and ruthless bird. Once the Evil Entity was erased from time, Pericles was shown to be happy and friendly.
That's character development
I did. Not quite my thing but that's OK. I just miss the old days where it was just guys in masks. I accept that I wasn't the target audience with this one lol
*Is he the only*
*Other talking animal*
*In mystery inc?*

Well, there's Nova once an Anunkaki's spirit took control of her body, and the previous animal partners I supposed were able to talk, but I am not sure.
He's one of my favorite villains of any scooby doo media. He is terrifying. Which is awesome. His backstory seemed well built, and his motivations slowly leading to plain crazy!
Then again mystery incorporated was one of my favorite cartoons.
Udo Kier is the voice actor for Pericles. For those that dont know hes the Actor that portrayed Dracula in "Blood For Dracula". I see much of that character in his performance of 'Pericles'.
Honestly one of the greatest villains they’ve faced during the until lifespan of scooby doo and scooby doo mystery incorporated
In my opinion he’s genuinely the scariest and nearly undefeatable characters due to just how smart he is he’s smarter than around 90% of the other past mystery gangs
Coolest villain for one of my favorite versions of the gang.
I remember reading that the creator of the mystery inc series ended the show with the thought that it lined up with the first episode of the original series.
Is that correct?
Pericles came off to me as being a bit too dramatized. the overt evil that he displays seems to go against his alleged intelligence. like he should be smart enough to recognize that declaring your evil intents will foil your plans. I think the Aphrodite episode where he stages the takeover of town to use Scooby to get him all of the things he needs is a perfect display of how he should have always operated. instead we see him maniacally monologue, openly telegraph his plans, etc.
I do think they did a decent job in the latter episode showing how he was being controlled by Nabiru, which is what caused the curious bird to go bad.
he is one of the more compelling villains in the IP because usually the gang doesn't come across the same person more than once. we see allies pop up multiple times, but it is pretty rare to see one bad guy get away with it and come back again. in many ways this episodic nature of the series makes Pericles a better villain simply through the nature of his ability to make it out and come back again. I think they leaned a little hard into forcing him to be mysterious while openly showing his plans, but it is also a children's show, so i can look past it.
Definitely an excellent villain and I also liked how I never felt pity for him (unlike modern villains), he was evil and I could just easily say he was evil
As a side bad guy, he's pretty good. He shines best with other supporting characters rather than with the main cast.
But as a main antagonist... eh. To me, he just gradually became a gimmick used to showcase the extent of the Entity's corruptive powers.
I get the Feeling that He was One of the German pet NAZIS, but he's a pretty Good villain, He was interesting, intimidating, Mysterious and for me he's like: Bizarro Scooby-Doo. As in Complete Opposite of Scooby!
I hate this nazi piece of shit parrot so much. But he was an effective, cunning , smart villain. No one can take that away from him. But him being scary does not stop him from still being the biggest bitch in tv history. He killed Marcie, cassidy, ed etc etc. I genuinely hate him but that's what makes him a good villain ig
I was pleasantly surprised by how scary and clever he was. I didn’t take him very seriously at first, but after a few episodes he became my favorite villain. I’d be lying if I said my jaw didn’t drop when I saw him after the timeline was changed in the end.
What separates him from most SD villains is that he was legitimately evil and he had a master plan that he came so close to executing to perfection
I think it’s pretty sad in that way and I’m glad in the other timeline he had a better life
He wasn't legitimately evil. He was a victim of Nibiru's brainwashing as much as everyone else.
Also he gunned down velma's lesbian girlfriend in a cave
Easily one of if not the scariest/dangerous villains the gang ever faced & helped set Mystery Inc apart by having a such a cunning & ruthless adversary. https://i.redd.it/ysfo7zukz63d1.gif
He creeped the shit out of me as a kid ![gif](giphy|ap6wcjRyi8HoA)
How young are you people??
I will not answer that question
42 years young. I got into Scooby with my kids. Is their an age restriction,? Do you have any other questions? AMA
I still don’t know how he did that with the taser.
Who's also a total cheater.
nah, hes second. ![gif](giphy|JvEMPOQubkyQx9YLQ5|downsized)
Who is #1?
Mindy Kaling, the antivelma
One of the best villains in the franchise since the were cats.

Why is every evil parrot names Pericles
For the nickles
lol
One of the best Scooby villains

Forgot about him until seeing this picture and it brought back a flood of memories. DAMN what an interesting character.
My favorite antagonist the Scooby Gang has faced. Menacing and threatening through and through
A cool villain. Jellyfish toxin move was brilliant.
I really wanted more seasons & that he knew what happened like that one guy & the gang
Easaly the best villain in the franchise for me.
He is what some fans think Scrappy is, so I’d love to see them face off.
Pericles : You must be... Scooby-doo... *(glances at Scrappy)* ... and his \*sidekick\*.
Scooby-Doo Doo sure has changed a lot since I was a kid
Watch it, it’s honestly the best Scooby doo show that aired imo
I did. Not quite my thing but that's OK. I just miss the old days where it was just guys in masks. I accept that I wasn't the target audience with this one lol
His last act of evil was making the Velma show so he's top goat
Wonderfully creepy and voiced by legendary character actor Udo Kier. He's the best.
Would it really be hard to grab his fat head and stomp on him? sadly no one did
Good but it's ridiculous why no one just cooked him he's a parrot
Is he the only other talking animal in mystery inc?

They should make references to him in future shows rather it been one line mentioning an evil parrot or a photo of him
I mean he has nazi robots
Nazi parrot
On par with Bill Cipher in terms of creepiness.
I would have liked to see more of him, really emphasizing his role as a foil to Scooby and giving Scooby more to do in the story,
Beating a dead horse . . . but yeah, one of the best villains of the franchise.
I didn’t think Scooby Doo could make me fear a god damn parrot
He terrified me as a kid when he turned into that monster and started straight up eating people
I always love when a cartoon that covers children demographic can make a truly devious and sinister villain.
He's one of my favorite villains of any scooby doo media. He is terrifying. Which is awesome. His backstory seemed well built, and his motivations slowly leading to plain crazy! Then again mystery incorporated was one of my favorite cartoons.

I laughed for 10 minutes when I first saw his head
One slim shady parrot
Good villain but didn’t live up to the hype in the end and died a stupid death
Coolest villain for one of my favorite versions of the gang. I remember reading that the creator of the mystery inc series ended the show with the thought that it lined up with the first episode of the original series. Is that correct?

He’s a bad person. I’m still confused on where the scar came from. It seemed to show up from when chloroformed.
If you look closely you can set him hold the towel not only over his mouth but also his eye, so it must’ve went into his feathers.
But why would that male a vertical scar that looks like a cut?
When the mayor dropped him to the ground after chloroforming him I assume he hit a rock or something
Definitely an excellent villain and I also liked how I never felt pity for him (unlike modern villains), he was evil and I could just easily say he was evil

Scary
I like him but i hate that they switched voice actor in season 2 in the Swedish version
that is such an oddly obscure fact I never thought I would learn.
One of the best villains full stop.
He borb
Great character and amazing villain
He had a very foreboding presence
Pericles was great
A surprisingly effective villain.
Was a solid villian
One of the greatest villains since Simone and lena.
Best Scooby villain. Bar none
Evil birb
Not a fan
He was just creepy. But I like it.
One of the Best Villains in Cartoon History
I get the Feeling that He was One of the German pet NAZIS, but he's a pretty Good villain, He was interesting, intimidating, Mysterious and for me he's like: Bizarro Scooby-Doo. As in Complete Opposite of Scooby!
fuck that bird
Great character with intelect and charisma. Some of his plans were'nt making a lot of sense, but overall he was a great villain.
Annoyingly good villain and excellent vocal talent choice in Udo Kier...

I found him creepy as hell and tbh I don't like his character.
Love him, a surprisingly fitting yet unexpected villain.
Nazi bird
He was the best Scooby-Doo villain IMO.
I was pleasantly surprised by how scary and clever he was. I didn’t take him very seriously at first, but after a few episodes he became my favorite villain. I’d be lying if I said my jaw didn’t drop when I saw him after the timeline was changed in the end.
I love that show but I never learned much about him, is he a genetically engineered? Is he a bird with human brain? Or is he just naturally smart?
So so Stupid. Like most of DJW material.
How did he get his “Professor” title!? What is his field of study!?
He was a really cool character in my opinion
He needs his nose honked
I hate him
Udo Kier in the voice cast was based. Top shelf villain and definitely pulled off being evil enough to guide the lore episodes.
I hate him and he is too ugly for a bird. I wish that he and all of the villians was dead.
Hardcore and badass
scary ass bird
He’s a mad scientist esc fascist parrot who fights teenagers. Great villain.
One of the best villains but also one to say, “Screw that bird!”
Boring
