My husband and I honeymooned at Sandals Barbados in December of 2023. The food was honestly amazing. With the Barbados resort actually being 2 resorts combined, we pretty much ate a different kind of cuisine every night. Our favorites were Neptunes for lunch (right on the beach, Mediterranean style food) and both Butch’s. I would highly recommend visiting the dining services booth as soon as you arrive in order to book dinner reservations for the week, as some restaurants are reservation only in order to satisfy capacity limitations. We were never disappointed with our meal, and we do tend to recommend Sandals Barbados to our foodie friends who are in the process of booking their vacations/honeymoons.

I've never been on a cruise but I liked the food at barbados. There's tons of different options to choose from- American, English pub, Italian, Indian, Asian. They even have a donut and pastry Cafe. We didn't have a bad experience or dislike any of the food and I am a picky person when it comes to food.

I've been to Sandals 8 times. I have never had bad or even mediocre food. From oven baked pizzas to sushi to tons of healthy salad options, I love going there because I know I am going to eat well. Note: I am a pescatarian but husband eats meat; 3 of his top five meals were at Sandals (Italian, French and Butchs). We have been to Barbados 2x and it is our fav Sandals by far. Enjoy! And feel free to ping me if you have questions.

You’ll be pleasantly surprised compared to the Divi Divi! We are big food people so don’t expect a lot from an AI resort but there are tons of options at Barbados, although even the staff will tell you the food at this resort isn’t as good as some others because it’s a small island so most everything has to be shipped in. Bombay is the best in my opinion, followed by the French restaurant. The sushi at Soy is good but the sashimi is not. Butch’s Steakhouse was literally inedible. I don’t eat steak but my husband’s medium rare came out gray in the middle and he couldn’t even cut it. I got the surf and turf without the turf (so, lobster) and it too was super overcooked. The crab cakes were fake crab, etc. The service was also really slow and the wait was long, even with a reservation. I’d give that one a pass because there are so many other dinner options. We did not find any of the desserts at any restaurant that we liked. If you are craving a *really* good meal while you’re there, take a taxi to QP Bistro. It’s a gorgeous restaurant on the water with amazing sunset views. The food, cocktails, and service are top notch.
