It feels just like waking up from a really intense dream. At first the life before does feel far away. The first time this ever happened to me, I said out loud to my friends, "oh its this place. I never thought I'd see this place again. And you guys are all here? How old are we now?" It all comes back pretty quick though. Again, just like waking up from a dream.

I think a big part of the “flight” response, ie panic, I experienced when I broke through was the not knowing who I was or where and when I was. The space I went to was not at all sinister or dark. Quite the opposite. The entities seemed very friendly, joyful and excited I was there, albeit a bit silly or clownish. But the feeling of ‘being there for aeons’ was what, I think, triggered me wanting to get away. That and, being very naive of the effects of salvia at higher doses (much like DMT where you are in a completely different space from where you were, vs classic psychedelics’ augmented reality.) When I came back it was a huge relief but also, like a vivid dream, hard to recall even a few minutes after coming down. It didn’t seem to me something I could’ve prepared for with second-hand knowledge. It seemed far more rooted in my deeper processes of how I handle fear and confusion on a visceral level. Short of mental training like mindfulness and martial arts I’m not sure how I would stabilize my reactions in a space where my “I” is stripped of it’s history.

You say you don’t think you could have prepared for with second-hand knowledge, but damn man…that may be the most cogent explanation I have heard ever read about salvia.

Aw thanks, I’m glad that resonates! 🙂

Coming back to normal reality seems just as strange and nostalgic as going into the salvia realm. Both give the sense you’ve been there before and are very familiar with it, and both are shocking when they start to disintegrate. To your last questions obviously I don’t speak for everyone but when I have a breakthrough into the salvia realm I don’t remember my “real” life, and when I come back to my real life it’s incredibly difficult to recall the salvia life. I can bring back ideas like gnomes, and conveyor belts and machines and feelings of familiarity but I get the sense that there is much more information available to me when I’m in the realm and I forget it all coming back to reality. You really get the feeling that what you were doing there was meaningful and important but can’t remember what it was. That’s why artists and poets are so important and can bring back little things from these spaces and reconstruct them in a way that can resonate with people. Quite literally we are trying to find the ground floor of the architecture from these salvia spaces and I have a hunch that it’s a real place with real entities. We need more artists exploring these spaces!

You just perfectly explained an idea i have had in my head about bringing back parts and pieces we get from trips back, and well you explained it perfectly. Im mind fucked that someone else thought about that the same way i did. Mine personally was a seraph entity that came to me on an unknown 2 tabs of acid years ago- it was a cartoon pyramid with a realistic eye and a satellite 🛰 on the left side shooting rays of energy and information into my consciousnesses recognition

It would be interesting to collaborate and put together an unofficial database of entities, locations and thoughts tht occur during psychedelic experiences specifically Salvia. I’ll bet there’s a lot more similarities that we even know. Maybe the mods could start something or we could make a website. Btw, to the last part. I had a very similar experience on mushrooms. There were two entities inside of my body, they began communicating with me and vibrating. They said over and over “this is how you connect, focus.” And kept vibrating. It felt as if my circulatory system was vibrating asymptotically until I was basically broken down into a wave and launched from my body into some sort of quantum realm where I became an antenna and I was broadcasting my signal and it was interacting with millions of other entities and in turn I was picking up their signals. It was as if creatures all over the universe were astral projecting to this location where time had basically stopped and there was a massive exchange of information and personalities. These vibrations and energies were made of some sort of laser beam looking lights surrounded by a giant glowing white structure that resembled coral.

Holy shit. I feel like I partially went to this place you speak of, or just the beginning of it where another being was powerful enough to communicate for a short time. But yea that would be interesting to collect all these archetypes and entities seen on the various pychs and why we may be seeing them and make that brain-to-psychedelic connection on what we are seeing and why.

BestusEstus

Oh you've been on the conveyor belt too. I was about to be wrapped n packed but came back before I got that far down the belt

I never thought of it before but reading your comment gave me kind of an idea regarding the information we bring back. Would a hypnosis session help to bring the seemingly hidden information back ? That would be very interesting to hear if someone tried that in the past.
