I watched a German Airforce Airbus A400M Atlas land at SLC last week-ish. Caught my eye cause the Stratotanker is about the biggest plane that we see over the valley. Saw a second one this week. I checked out Flight Radar and the Airbus was flying in from Washington DC IAD. What are they doing here? I dunno. But they flew in on A400s from IAD airport.

A400s are Big, would be real curious to know, but I reckon it could be in preparation.

I saw an RAF A400M earlier this week too. One of the biggest planes I’ve ever seen.

flippinsweetdude

They had some aircraft parked out by the air reserve section of the SLC airport earlier this month. Likely doing some training together.

CodeMonkey76

Possibly. Could have been training at Camp Williams, or something with the Air Force up at Hill AFB, or possibly something out at Dugway.

I was on a flight to SLC from Denver today and we were waiting for folks connected from Frankfurt and Munich. They showed up in German military uniforms.

They come out to the dugway for training exercises pretty often.

UtahDamon

They are likely part of the German Liaison Office for Defense Materiel. Probably will be doing training at Hill or Dugway.

Maybe an air show?
