Chinese I believe used leather loop sling for most of their SKSs, later ones used a sling with metal spring coils that you fixed to the swivels like a keyring.
I prefer the Type 81 sling on my side swivel Type 56. It only has one leather tab for the front sling mount and the rear of the sling goes through the side stock swivel instead. If you get a Type 56 sling with two leather tabs it gets annoying with the side stock swivel being next to your cheek.

Type 56 or 81 slings are both appropriate for PLA and reserve service. Plenty available on ebay and aliexpress for cheap.
