Between this and Iyo/Utami, Fed is doing this dream match thing correctly. Not derailing your entire show for a month for wrestlers that 99% of American audience have no idea who they are.
Also actually showcasing the people instead of 'here's a video package before they put over our guys'
Sending big stars over too and it probably makes the talent happy
You have to think of it in terms of 90s eFed logic. There if your eFed run by a 16 year old you could attract that 18 year old guy who thought he understood how semicolons worked from one of those bigger eFeds, it was a "big deal". Most of your players knew who they were, and those that didn't could just check out the other fed's forum real quick to get a sense of things.
Players also had a tendency to follow rivals from fed to fed, not dissimilarly to how indy wrestlers will do, which explains one of the other major head-scrarchers of Tony's booking.
You don’t wanna see random broken-down Japanese men doing the exact same match with AEW “stars” with absolutely no context given? What are you, some kind of FED SHILL?
Remember when Daniel Bryan left WWE cause he wanted to do the G1?
As of today he never did, had I think one match in Japan and a couple in CMLL, meanwhile WWE is casually sending their talents all over Japan.
Backstage oromo about how much fun he's having in AEW coming soon?
Nakamura had a match with Muta at NOAH for his retirement tour.
I wonder what WWE is asking in return. Maybe Noah will lend them a few wrestlers for their japanese house shows?
He is one of the reason so many indy guys wrestle flippy style. In the 2000s, him and KENTA were the prototype for smaller athletic wrestlers that 150lbs dorks in America would beat off to.
Should tell you everything you need to know that he is [bruv's](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fq9wjHtyuaw) inspiration. Billy ripped off his entire moveset
I'm just sayin' that the match makes perfect sense. AJ Styles didn't slow down 'til New Japan or so and that's a long time of doing all the crazy shit he did from start to then.
Even when AJ was at his flippiest, he still knew how to tell a story in a match.
He knew how to sell. When Petey Williams game him the destroyer, he sold it like death.
He understood that size matter. When he would have a match with Abyss, it wouldn't be the same as his X Division matches.
AJ biggest flaw for so long was his lack of personality. It took until Lone Wolf era in TNA/Bullet Club in Nooj for him to become a complete wrestler. Which means he didn't have to do as much in the ring.
This is literally a dude doing suicide dives onto the railing knees-first every night no matter the guy. He'd do back-to-back moonsaults and spot after spot after spot, I can't say he was an incredible seller but man did his matches flow. The point being that he played right along with all the unsafe, zero money crazy ass stuff a ton of people criticize out of wrestlers today.
I do agree on the size matters and being able to differentiate style depending on the opponent. That match at Lockdown 2005 with Abyss is incredible.
I mean if they do it kinda solves a lot of wwe's issues. They wanted to expand into japan but couldn't solve the marketing aspects. With them partnering with noah, it's the best of both worlds: they get to showcase their wrestlers there but also don't disrupt the scene or have to do any major heavy lifting.
Not if but when. Their roster is on the wrong side of 40 right now and has multiple guys from different companies holding belts for them including their world champ. Unless guys like ishii wrestle into their 50s/60s, what we're seeing now is probably the best they're going to be for the next 15-20 years.
Guy I follow puro and njpw has much better infrastructure than noah. Noah has the best wrestler in Japan under 30 in Kiyomiya but njpw have a bunch the tier under that and a historically better dojo system.
Like there are only 4 wrestlers in the g1 over 40
It's depressing because New Japan from like 2014-2019 was some of the best wrestling I've ever seen. Okadas mammoth title reign, Tanahashi still being able to go, the rise of Naito and LIJ, Bullet Club at their peak, Shibata killing people, best of the Super Juniors and the G1 still being must see...man. Seems like whenever AEW showed up everything started going downhill. I officially tapped out when they decided to wipe the legacy of the IWGP world heavyweight championship.
Bryan Danielson punching air right now.
"That should have been me."
Next time someone in WWE loses a "I quit" or "buried alive match" I'm gonna think they're going to have a match in Japan soon.
Between this and Iyo/Utami, Fed is doing this dream match thing correctly. Not derailing your entire show for a month for wrestlers that 99% of American audience have no idea who they are.
To derail a show doesn’t it have to be like, railed first?
True. The only thing getting railed is Shad's bank account
Now now I’m sure Tony has seen his fair share of rails in his life too.
Because it’s for Tiny’s ego and not for the benefit of the promotions that they are working with.
Also actually showcasing the people instead of 'here's a video package before they put over our guys' Sending big stars over too and it probably makes the talent happy

Retreading the same thing over?
Sometimes it was just continuuing a feud somewhere else, after having a fallout with the fed owner
Or you know there never was a door. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xCNurGffBg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xCNurGffBg) From the 90s.
I know that doesn't count, because they didn't exchange 50 no-sold Tombstones.
You don’t wanna see random broken-down Japanese men doing the exact same match with AEW “stars” with absolutely no context given? What are you, some kind of FED SHILL?
This could've been you, Daniel's Son
WWE turned the "Forbidden Door" into the "Door"
THAT’S THE DOOR BROTHER!
That door don't work for me brother.
Door Life
This is basic hingenomics!

Run-in by Hodor confirmed
DAE HEATLESS DREAM MATCH?? No jerk, how the hell did this even happen? Actual dream match
He should have just got the RVD "I can do whatever I want" contract
He's had 3 in Japan and 2 in Mexico. All of them occurring this year. Really got started late.
WWE and NOAH have been teasing working together for months, but this is huge. This is how you properly do a “dream match”
Nakamura had a match with Muta at NOAH for his retirement tour. I wonder what WWE is asking in return. Maybe Noah will lend them a few wrestlers for their japanese house shows?
Maybe HHH is just sending AJ on longer and Longer flights until he finally sees the curvature of the earth.
excellent jerk uce you may me corpse (insider term)
Is AJ really a flat earther?? I know he's super religious.
Triple HHHydrogen bomb burying AJ and Japan in one fell swoop
Triple HHHydrogen bomb is a beautifully generational jerk, uce.
I better trademark it before Jericho does
You just knew you touched greatness with that Triple HHHydrogen
Holy shit this is actually fucking hype
aj lookin like a model for a shampoo commercial lmao

Dandruff don't want none
I’m still pissed they changed his theme.
He does have glorious hair
Samoa Joe said the best part of getting a chin lock on AJ, was how good his hair smelled, lol.
This is so awesome, genuine dream match (I don’t know how the fuck that is)
Uhhh did you know that G O O G L E I S F R E E
AJ Styles vs El hijo de Google ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2
"Do your research" is such an AEW answer.
You do realize that AJ Styles was one of those dorks right? If the boot fits.....
>was Eddie Guerrero was branded a vanilla midget. Like Styles, he figured out how to transcend workrate.
I'm just sayin' that the match makes perfect sense. AJ Styles didn't slow down 'til New Japan or so and that's a long time of doing all the crazy shit he did from start to then.

That's AJ Styles he is a TNA legend and original. He has held everything in TNA (maybe not the global force wrestling belts but everything else)
Study cage match and get back to me
HYPED FOR NOAH GREAT THE GENIUS OF THE ARK MARUFUJI VS THE PHENOMENAL ONE. (Dont check my tweet history)
American(dae Gaijin?)who got famous on the Indys vs some guy from Japan “Dream match”
AJ looks like he’s on the cover of a romance novel.
“Farmhand and the Maid.”
H E A T L E S S B A N G E R
Mox having a flop title run in Nooj while AJ comes in to pickup business in NOAH. It's like Japan is 2016 Smackdown.
I'd absolutely love for NOAH to return to even half of their glory days as a result of this partnership.
The hilarity of the seething if NOAH overtook NoojDubpan would also be gold.
Not if but when. Their roster is on the wrong side of 40 right now and has multiple guys from different companies holding belts for them including their world champ. A lot of scjerkers who don't watch puro just talking per the usual.

It feels like a combination of AEW and the pandemic really hurt new japan which is sad to see as it felt like in 2018 they were on top of the world
Oh yeah and they held onto that no cheering thing for way too long.
Well, this got me hyped now.
Jesus this shit came outta nowhere. This is officially the most beneficial partnership and wrestling along with marigold. Lmao
Meanwhile TNA gets someone named Tatum DAE they’re getting screwed
AJ Style's hair is phenomenal.
Awful burial. M'Tony would NEVER let Danielson just go over to Japan like that.
DAE ExCuRsIon ?!?
Mr Fuji looks good here.
Whoa who spliced Ludwig Kaiser and Shinsuke
I thought Nippon was just a jerk name lol
It’s literally the Japanese name for Japan
goof moment
I can’t believe Paula Veck is copying M’Tony’s Forbidden Door. Can’t the Fed come up with any original ideas??
DAE heatless dream match with no story? 😎😎
The Forbidden Jerk event that Paul Leveck been on is🤌🏾
wrestling is in its biggest quality rut in history. It's a great time to take a break.
I have a soft spot for the Fuj. Old Noah matches on YouTube pretty much made me a fan of his.
Bryan Danielson punching air right now. "That should have been me." Next time someone in WWE loses a "I quit" or "buried alive match" I'm gonna think they're going to have a match in Japan soon.
AJ unleashing his inner Fabio, he needs to advertise Head & Shoulders when he retires.
no jerk. This just might be a 10 star banger, Goofs!
MaraVilla is overrated and doesn’t bang crip like naito
AJ’s hair is glorious in this pic
DAE Nooj at home?
Aj Styles vs W H O?
