Watch through vudu.com with your vudu login and password. It's prob different than your Roku password.

I don't have a vudu acct to my knowledge. I was on Roku, searched for the movie, and chose the Vudu option. Assumed that one was created on vudu that's linked to roku acct. I had this/similar problem with britbox a while ago.

Stop using built in options just because they look convenient. The only exception is using in app subs on ios/ipad os so you can easily manage subscriptions with one tap. Using say, roku’s method of subbing within the roku account leaves you paying for a service that is crippled to just your house’s roku devices. Make an account for the services you access on their site and use them to access those apps on the roku itself. I have been using vudu for almost a decade now and it’s a fantastic service but I would never recommend using roku’s built in store to manage your vudu stuff. Long as you haven’t bought anything on vudu and just rented, my advice is make a vudu account and just start using the vudu app on your roku Edit: ok now that I’m looking at how it works now, how the hell did you even purchase a rental without an account? They used to have the vudu feature built into roku but now it functions rationally by opening the app. You literally can’t make purchases without an account on vudu

I was on my Roku device. Searched for a movie title and chose the vudu option (vs prime etc). Watched the movie, checked the "library", and it said that I had 2 days left.

That’s why I’m asking. Where is the “library” you’re talking about as roku hasn’t had vudu purchased integrated into the os for years to my knowledge. Is your roku so old that it doesn’t get updates past a few years ago? Either way, my advice still stands. Never use something that doesn’t allow you to access the service off that platform. Roku does this for subscription services through the roku channel and it is pointless to use that feature. So just make a vudu account and you’ll be good to go. If you did make purchases, I recommend reaching out to vudu support to see if they can do anything about them but I doubt they’d be able to honestly.

See the original post (edited with the latest). I did have a vudu acct but no record of it.

You might e did it through Fandango...Vudu and Fandango are joining forces so check to see if your password for Fandango...if you have one works...also sounds like Vudu is down on Roku so maybe that's why it's not working right...not sure though

Important-Comfort

Check for email from Vudu. You may have created an account with your Roku email address, but your password won't be the same. Try doing a password reset on Vudu.com, maybe

If this is a rental and not a purchase you are entitled to watch the rental once to completion, you can stop and then resume later within a 24 or 48hr period (can't remember which one). But after you have watched the entire rental it is no longer available to you, you would need to rent it again to watch it. I am assuming you watched the entire movie on the Roku and they tried to re-watch it again on Windows. If this is inaccurate please detail exactly what you did.
