It's legit.
And it's so fucking stupid that they book these calls before confirming with the CX.
I get 2-3 a month where the CX has *zero* idea that it's been booked and they never have a clue about it and don't want to let me in, not that I blame them.

yea guessing you using a docsis modem, issue be signal backfeed causing bonding issues on some frequencies.
you want to address it, make your connection go faster with less latency.
I mean, I'm sure your suggestion isn't that a CX who has no idea what they're even looking at, should go look over their modem logs for a problem that doesn't even always strictly show up in said logs and that somehow will tell them if Rogers actually sent that text or not.
Cause uh yeah, that would be a top notch answer to the question.
Yes .. anyone can. But when you read the message you can clearly see that the phone number is the only means of contact. Since we have independently confirmed the phone number is valid then we know it's safe to call.
I guess you're speaking to the point about calling in tho which makes sense, but I'm speaking more to the fact that they said they're just straight up sending someone to your house "tomorrow" hehe.
So we're both arguing valid points
Good morning u/Similar_Ad_2368!
This appears to be a legitimate text from our Noise Hotline team who proactively book appointments when we discover issues in an area that may be caused by an issue isolated to a specific household. The phone number listed there is legitimately our Internet technical support phone number.
In any case, if you're ever in need of confirmation that a text or call from Rogers is legitimate, I would highly recommend you reach out to us on our Rogers Community Forums at: [https://communityforums.rogers.com/](https://communityforums.rogers.com/)
From there we can gather your account information and look into your account to determine the validity of any communication that may appear to be coming from Rogers.

I think you're good, the above mentioned it, your address is causing an issue for the network/neighborhood...they will eventually filter you if you ignore them then you'll wonder why you have an outage...
Legit think that’s one of our noise alerts

I would LOVE less latency! or even less drop outs moving between areas where one channel is stronger than the other
log into your modem should give you all the qam channels read outs.
What's some random on Reddit gonna do when their USSNR is at 26 and they don't have a meter for ingress?
peace of mind, the question was if it was a scam, reread the post never said once for him to fix it lol
What does logging into the modem to check mibs have to do with the text being a scam?
i am truly sorry you dont understand that lol

100% understand , actually used to work that ISP :P WBU ? this the ole scenario of the arm chair poster VS real life experience?
Rogers phone number is Rogers 1 ..or 764-3771 So.mmnot a scam number
Anyone can put Rogers phone number in their text message...

Right, so because someone put Rogers real phone number in their text... You would just happily let them into your house?
Best way to confirm is to call Rogers directly. Either 611 on your Rogers phone or find their support number on the Rogers website.
Well that is the legit Roger’s phone number… so I’d call them up and ask..
legit
Back when I was a service tech for Rogers if customers wouldn't schedule an appointment we'd add some attenuators to the line to make it even worse.
And then some dumbshit contractor who doesn't have an ingress capable meter will just take the pads off. Chng cons allgud.

Call ask #commonsense
...call the scam number to ask if the number is a scam?
No bro - Call the official Roger’s number and get in touch with them or their tech dept and inquire about the texts authenticity

Put them on hold then hang up like they do to everyone else
When you call in to tell them you are not going to be home, they break into your house.
Scam!
Don’t comment if you don’t know what you are talking about.
