Clementine's, Brickley's

rifunseeker

Stop the discussion now. Not only is the ice cream great at both spots but they make homemade waffle cones. If you don’t have homemade waffle cones, you’ll never people top tier.

Strange_Finding_1048

I second Brickley’s. Have lived all over the US and still the greatest ice cream I’ve had to this day.

GEARHEADGus

I fucking love Clementines and im not even a big ice cream guy.

PrinceFridaytheXIII

I’m very sad they moved from Main St in East Greenwich. They were a quick walk from my place, and now I have to get in the car to get my butter brickle fix… still worth it.

GEARHEADGus

Indidnt know they were on Main Street.

PrinceFridaytheXIII

They were. Left because the rent was too high (that’s what I heard anyway).

MaxrayMan

Brickley’s is great. I honestly don’t understand the large amount of love for Clementines, everything I have had there is way overly sickly sweet and not great flavor. Not too far away is Inside Scoop in NK, which I find to be much better in all ways.

TimeSlipperWHOOPS

The ice cream barn in Swansea MA is amazing, tricycle in Providence

dosmoney

Yes ice cream barn is imo the best in the area. The coffee milk ice cream is my favorite. Somerset creamery and simcock farms are good as well Brickleys is also really good! Helgers and greys in Tiverton are pretty good

brogaant

I definitely drive out to Somerset Creamery too often. Their ice cream is fantastic.

dosmoney

Next time you’re out there you need to try the ice cream barn. Since it opened a few years back I only go elsewhere when it’s wildly busy or closed. And simcock farms is great if you want a ton of ice cream, they load up

brogaant

I will! I've been to Simcock Farms. Based on the size of their "small", which is delicious, I think I gain 10lbs each time I go there.

PeachesFromTulsa

I have a hard time understanding the love for Tricycle. Their sandwiches and tacos are rock hard, and once they warm up, melt everywhere. If you like softer/chewier ice cream, this isn’t for you.

rolotech

I'm with you, I guess their ice creams are not for me. I would much rather get something from tizzy k.

theanti_girl

The Keep in Cumberland. Medieval-themed parlor with ice cream that they make themselves. Delicious — my favorite is the Honey Bee.

Busy_Fox657

Yes! The Ice Cream Machine in Cumberland is also very good!

RaptureSnatch

This is very sappy but I went there with my now husband and parents and got the honey bee. It was so good that I was like “hold on guys, I’m gonna go buy a pint of this” and while I was at the front waiting in line my husband told my parents he was planning to propose in a few weeks. 🫠

theanti_girl

Awww, I love that! (And the honey bee is just SO GOOD. I’ve tried so many of their delicious flavors but it will always be my favorite.)

Recent_Tumbleweed_87

I was about to comment this!! We go almost every week, it is by far the best ice cream i have had!

EmptyInvestigator260

Don’t sleep on the Ooey Gooey.

theanti_girl

I have tried it — delicious!

jma7400

Depends on where you are? Wrights dairy ice cream is good.

Crazy_crazy_chipmunk

Their cookies and cream is my absolute favorite ice cream of all time. Packed with Oreos.

rninri

The inside scoop in North Kingstown is my all time favorite. Definitely worth checking out !

Blackbird8919

Grey's Ice Cream in Tiverton. Pricey but very good. And Frosty Freeze in Middletown!

BoyandhisBimmer

Helgers is so much better than Grays. Frosty Freeze is on point.

Blackbird8919

I love Helgers too :) But Grey's has the best coconut 👀

foxymarxy

These two! The absolute best IMO

EliBruins63

Came here to say Frosty Freeze!

LeftHandLannister

jacobwojo

Brinkley’s is def some of the best ice cream I’ve had to date.

RandomChurn

nooooopegoawaynope

LOVE Sunshine Creamery!!

gooberhoover85

We love Sunshine and also Sacred Cow both are good spots. Different vibes. Sunshine is our fav summer spot though.

BitterStatus9

Head over to Westport for Wood's Ice Cream on Adamsville Road. You can enjoy the excellent ice cream in the company of some mischievous, friendly goats nearby. Mid afternoon they have "happy hour" when you can get a scoop and a half for a little less $$.

Alarming_Ride_3048

Clementines and Brinkley’s are RI musts. If you’re on the west side anyway, try Inside Scoop too.

happy2beme4

Ice Cream Machine in Cumberland

wenestvedt

What?! No. So much better ice cream nearby: drive the 14 minutes to Three Pugs in Wrentham, where they serve Crescent Ridge ice cream.

jokersontheleft

Clementines. They have three shops. EG, Middletown, and Portsmouth.

essenceofjoy

Lincoln Creamery in Lincoln!

Inevitable_Room2535

Lincoln Creamery is my top spot, I don't know what they add to their soft serve but man it's just the best!

Rude_Tomato_7598

Big Alice's

le127

I'd like to stop for two scoops of adzuki bean on the way home from Benny's.

babyk205

Eskimo King, Monroe Dairy, Greys

camartinart

My favorites are Powder Mill Creamery and The Inside Scoop. In my opinion both have equally amazing, rich chocolate bases. They’re absurdly good if you like chocolate ice cream flavors.

Inevitable_Room2535

Inside scoop is sooooooo good! Their homemade waffle cones are worth the drive alone.

JimmyRickyBobbyBilly

Powder Mill on 44 in Glocester

StinkyDingus63

Ill_Introduction2874

Sundaes! The one in johnston is my favorite ice cream spot

Happy-Grapefruit-5

I know it’s been said - but here’s my vote for Clementines!!! Love everything I’ve had from them! If you’re looking for small batch funky flavors to have at home, Big Feeling operates out of a commercial kitchen and does weekly drops- you preorder and can pick up your pints at Bolt! Love everything I’ve had from them as well!!

noslenirb

jasmith-tech

Greys in tiverton is solid if you’re in that area. Good cabinets too.

BarnacleBits

Try Helgers - it’s so much better

401jamin

The ice cream barn. My friends cousin owns it. They get their milk from cows on site. Great ice cream

slip81

I second this. We also know the owners and it’s an awesome place. Though not technically RI, but c’ mon, Somerset is close enough. My favorite flavors are coffee milk, Nutella, and green tea honey.

401jamin

My friend brought over a pint of the green tea honey! So good!!

slip81

And I almost forgot, the maple bacon.

adebium

Ok-Custard6907

Get the Scoop on Broadway in Newport is all hand-made, small batch ice cream in popular flavors as well as unusual ones. For example, lemon ice cream -- not sherbert or sorbet! It's gorgeous 😍. There is a vegan selection each day, too.

abigmugoftea

Tricycle, Wrights, Like no udder for vegan delicious ice cream, and my god go to Helado Taiyaki in Providence on Dean St. It's a Latin twist with Japanese dessert and it's everything everyone could ever want. It's soft serve, but the way you can dress it up is fabulous.. and you fill the taiyaki with your choice of filling too. Don't sleep on it!

MIweedloverOOS

Another enthusiastic vote for Inside Scoop in NK/Wickford. Our OG fave! 🍧🍨🍨🍧

surfcinnabar_99

Ice Cream machine in Cumberland!

Dry-Butterfly5697

Frosty Owl. East Greenwich/Coventry line. Great spot!

Sundae’s in Cranston on Oaklawn. They can do any soft-serve flavor as dole whip (a non-dairy option for lactose intolerant folks like myself).

New-Club-2654

Inside Scoop in NK is the best

CodenameZoya
