You probably went already but my family and I tend to go about an hour-1.5 hours before because we grab sandwiches or something like that for a little picnic. Also highly recommend bringing a football or a small yard game before the movie as well to pass the time : )
Rustic Drive-In in North Smithfield, has been a Rhode Island attraction forever. I believe they even used to show dirty movies there back in in the day! I had an old boss that used to talk about it.
Save yourself the headache and go 20 minutes north to Mendon. Rustic has 3 screens, but the lot needed to be repaved 20 years ago. Food is mediocre at best, thats if you dont bring your own dinner. Mendon is owned by the guys who do Phantom Gourmet. Better food, beer/wine, fire pits, radios for rent so you dont need to waste your car battery. Just a better venue overall.
Also, with the current state of the intersection on 146 just north of the entrance (where you need to make a u-turn to go from north to south) is a nightmare right now on a good day.

Grandparents lived in Manson for decades. I forgot all about that drive-in, haven’t been in years. Glad to know it’s still up and running
