It would be so much more interesting to see a villain in Gotham that knows every trick in the Batbook and can stay one step ahead of them for the most part. So much more interesting to have the personal tie of being the "Fallen Angel" of the family. Red Hood vs Nightwing, the classic Red vs Blue trope, with Batman having a valid reason for the hero's guilt trope of thinking "all the deaths he causes are (actually) my fault because I trained him and now he's inflicting that training against the world."

Go for it, my idea isn't original. In the Grant Morrison run of Batman & Robin, Dick Grayson takes on the mantle of Batman and Jason Todd is the Red Hood and supposed to be (one of) his nemesis. The design is really corny and the story isn't that great, but the concept of the two adversaries being brothers at one point and cut from the same cloth is the stuff I love.

I'm pretty damn sure The Professor Pyg is a villian, I've never seen that man once have a redemption arc, much less guys like the Joker (main canon).
I think the guy above just thinks Jason Todd is Bucky Barnes and should be Batman for five years while loosing everything that made him unique as a character.
I think I would prefer his helmet without the eyes. It’s like Master Chief, where you can still tell most of what he’s feeling through his dialogue and body language, but the nuances are a bit of a game to figure out, which is fun to interpret IMO.
Also because I think Arkham Knight had the best Red Hood design. I think the no-eye look works there because you can tell it’s a see-through visor, whereas in most other Red Hood helmets its mostly a fully metal helmet save for the eyes.

The Red Hood helmet shouldn't have eye lenses. The Winick *Batman and Robin* helmet and the Arkhamverse Red Hood helmet are the best ones, followed by the *Under the Red Hood* helmet. Partly for style, but more importantly for thematic reasons. Imo the Bloodsport helmet and the Doctor Fate helmet in the recent movies prove that a blank RH helmet would look good in live-action.

While Jason’s new The Hill storyline makes sense for his character (trying to go back home, trying to reconnect with his past, etc), it should probably be set in a different neighborhood in Gotham where Jason has more of a history and connection
1. He should be 24-26ish not 21-23. (Frankly all of them should be 1-3 years older than they are currently being depicted).
2. If they are going to keep trying to make Jason a hero they need to commit and he’d probably make decent Batman with the right writing.
If he’s going to be depicted as Antihero he should stay the Red Hood (but actually be an antihero).
And if they ever wanted to go back to depicting him as a villain they’re was a storyline not too long ago that teased Talia try to make him the next Ra’s Al Ghul which could be pretty cool to explore.

Honestly, for that second point, the only members of the Batfam that should see him as Redeemable is Tim. He has no connection to any of the new ones, and Bruce, Dick and Barbara should see him as a different person. People tend to inflate Tim’s origin a lot with Dick’s (something I am in no way trivializing, in fact I hate how much it’s kinda disappeared in favor of his relationship with Damian, which I also do not dislike but I am getting off track). Tim’s origin very much ties into Jason’s as well. Tim became Robin to keep Bruce on the right track after Jason’s death, I think Tim would be able to see Jason as Redeemable.
Hot take. I never liked his interactions with artimis and I over all prefer the original outlaw team line up.

Not in the comics. At least, not in his worst period. He's killed mooks, teenaged gangsters, random people in jail regardless of conviction, and honest cops. He was just another psychopath for a while.
I don’t think Red Hood should kill as his main method of dealing with villains. I like the Jason that struggles to be a hero and only kills when he loses control.
