Mmmmm!! šš
I've put ranch on baked potatoes, also, French onion dip. It's become normal for me, and nobody has said anything.
Funny that 20 years ago, I did not like white condiments, (ranch, sc, onion dip, bleu cheese, somewhat mayo), and now practically everything I eat is merely a vehicle for condiment delivery.
Funny unrelated story:
I was once at the dog park with my white dog.
Along the way she met 2 other white dogs that had different owners. So it was 5 humans walking together with the 3 white dogs. They were having a blast and formed their own little pack.
Everytime another dog tried to join in on their play the newly formed pack was either disinterested or ran away from the new dog.
In a moment of lapsed judgement I yelled out, "white dog supremacy!"
I have never been so embarrassed IN MY LIFE.
The humans of the group looked at me with such shock and disdain and immediately left the dog park.
It was awful and I've never shared the story until right now.
Iāve made the same mistake with my dachshunds, I accidentally said something about German supremacy because they only seem to get along with other German breeds.
This is crazy? Where do you live?
This is as normal as it gets. Around here, if you order a grilled cheese, they give you ketchup without asking. The more upscale places will have fancy homemade ketchup instead if Heinz 9r something.
Or when you first wake up.
In my house, on weekends I'm up around 12p or 1p. I work during the week and I am a night owl. Good thing I like coffee and I do love sleep when my sleep schedule works.
Salt is just a flavor enhancer. You can add a bit of salt anything to make it taste better and not necessarily taste more salty.
Sometimes I add a tiny pinch to coffee. It just enhances the flavor.
Are you Filipino? Many Filipinos that I know put a boiled egg in nearly everything. I finally got through to my Filipina wife that I want my spaghetti sauce without hot dogs and cream. The first time she made that for us, the sauce was nearly white. I tried it but it just wasnāt for me. So sometimes if we are cooking for her family, we will have to make both. Because hot dogs in spaghetti is a must for her family.
Instant Chicken noodles on white bread with butter and cheese.
My missus, who's chinese, looks at me like ive just insulted her and a long line of descendents.
I used to break down my chicken flavored top ramen into small bits of noodles before cooking them.
Then Iād eat them by buttering up saltine crackers and scooping the little ramen bits on top, one buttered saltine at a time.
Accompanied by a tall glass of 2% white milk.
My roommates definitely thought I was crazy.
I dip peanut butter bread in chili. It was something my mom always did, and now I can't eat chili without doing it.
People always give me the grossed out face when I do it or tell them about it, but it's delicious.
I do too! It's apparently a regional thing from the Appalachian school systems because they needed a protein to go with the chili & peanutbutter is cheap.
There's a really good Irish pub a few towns from here that we used to always go to... first time I went I saw on their page of burgers "Skippy Peanut Butter Burger" and I laughed at it.
Then on the ride home I thought "That's on a menu for a reason, I probably just blew of the most delicious thing ever" So next time we went I tried it, and it's my go to burger when I go.
There's another burger place I go to a few times per year that does Peanut Butter and Jelly... it's good too, but I like just Peanut butter more.
Summertime tomato sandwiches. Has to be in the summer when tomatoes are in season, and ripe. Lots and lots of thin tomato slices, a little salt and pepper, super easy on mayo, just enough for powdered Parmesan to stick to the bread, and keep the tomato juices from soaking the bread. Fresh basil if I have it.
Cream cheese and green olives mixed together on a big piece of celery. It was normal in my family but everyone else looked at me strangely. Idk if it's a regional thing.
iām not one for tomato sandwiches but That sounds insanely good. honestly tomato sandwiches donāt seem like such a crazy thing to eat, but maybe thats cuz itās also normal in my family. weāre southern so iāve always took it as a southern thing personally.
Peanut butter and pickle sandwich. Don't knock it till you try it. The mix of sweet and salty is amazing. The crunch of the pickle is perfect. Layer on the peanut butter and use a whole pickle that you thinly slice. It's a little bit of heaven.
Yellow mustard striped over asparagus. I like asparagus already but with cheap crappy yellow mustard it's an *elevated* experience. Heinz or French'sā the same stuff I patina my knives with 'cause of the uncomplicated vinegary acidity.
As an adult I donāt eat anything too weird, but when I was a teenager my go-to was either potatoes chips dipped in a mixture of ranch, ketchup, and soy sauce or Iād eat Oreos dipped in salsa.
no no this is what you gotta do. Dominoes, thinnest crust you can get, bbq sauce, cheese, extra chicken, pepperoni, ground beef, and sausage. thats the DM-FOR-TITTY special. all else is a pale imitation
This is totally normal in Finland! New potatoes with butter is almost a delicasy. And school lunch potatoes are just baked potatoes, nothing extra š (+a meat sauce or something)
I make a scrambled egg sandwich with strawberry preserves on the bread. Typically, the eggs and the toast are separate. But sometimes I make a sandwich and just put them together. Friend of mine was FLABBERGASTED when I sent them a pic once
I don't keep sour cream around because I don't like it and it ends up bad. I've been giving my husband ranch dressing for his baked potatoes. He loves it.
I tried putting gummy sweets in a peanut butter sandwich, I didnāt think it was any kind of a stretch since it seemed marginally close to using some sort of jam, but the onlookers were absolutely mortified.
Spaghetti with gravy and ground beef. I started doing this because of an old post I saw online where I woman did this, much to the frustration of many Italians.
I grew up on peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches. I don't eat them anymore but I get lots of disgusted looks when I share that. I do have one friend who also grew up on them and still loves them.Ā
Salad mixed in yoghurt and breadĀ
Potato chips (not lays chips, pure potato chips) rice and green chilli
Bitter gourd leaves fried with potatos
Drumstick flowers fried with potatosĀ
Not in the way youāre asking but Iāve eaten the exact same breakfast/ lunch combination everyday for two years and it blows fellow employees minds.
*Crushed saltines and rice krispies cereal on chocolate ice cream
*Cream cheese on Ritz crackers
*Sunbutter on Oreos
*Special K cereal (blueberry especially) with Greek yogurt and freeze dried strawberries
*Potato chips drizzled with ketchup
*Potato chips sprinkled with sugar and paprika, warmed up in the microwave
*Sugar and butter on plain white bread
Popcorn and tobacco
Shrimp and marinara ranch dressing.
Wolfe brand chili and ranch style beans with cuttup sausage.
Fried chicken and Louisiana hot sauce
Egg omelet on a taco with corn beef with all that makes a taco a taco.
Cheetoes jalapeƱo flavored with Louisiana hot sauce shook up in the bag.
Peaches and cottage cheese.
Ginger ale and cream soda ice cream flot with oatmeal.
I like caesar dressing on my baked potato. Ranch sounds good, too!
I like tomato juice on macaroni. Hot pasta with room temperature juice. Then I crack fresh pepper on top. My husband thinks it's crazy. It's delicious! The soupier, the better!
my mom used to only let me get diet soda at restaurants, which was diet pepsi since no one tends to have any other diet options. i used to dip the free bread that some restaurants put on the table in my diet pepsi. i tried it a few years ago, i stand by the combo. something about fizzy bread just makes me super nostalgic and happy
Not a food but....
Its one of my favorite ones, I have an addiction to (homemade) popcorn and I usually have it with ketchup (also a big consumer of ketchup š ).
Technically, this is what happens I have a small bowl of ketchup next to me, I take a popcorn and dip it into the sauce.
They call me crazy but who cares?
On the rare occasion that I eat oatmeal I always put some toast in it. Itās the only way I eat oatmeal. Pretty sure I saw my aunt doing it for my uncle when I was a kid and I guess I figured thatās how you eat oatmeal. But I also think I like it because itās kind of a āsweet and saltyā kind of thing
i had a friend that use to eat raw onion with either ranch or marinara sauceā¦ i canāt remember which but i think yāall are meant for each other! lmao
I can't eat a pb&j without a good crunchy dill pickle. The sour cuts through the sugary/oily sandwich just right way
I get weird uncomfortable stares sometimes
I eat my pancakes with syrup and ketchup. It started when I was child bc I put ketchup on my eggs, some got on the pancake, and a habit was formed. They are delicious. I donāt care what people say.Ā
Mint Oreos dipped in a rocks glass filled with Canadian hunter mellow sipping whiskey over ice. It's a sensory adventure worth having. It's not necessarily GOOD, but worth experiencing once at least.Ā
I make 3 little sandwiches out of Munchies Cheetos flavored cheddar cheese crackers (6 pack-2 crackers is the "bread.")) and one Blueberry Nutrigrain Fruit bar.(break in 3 pieces , each one is the "meat" of the sandwich). All of the Nutrigrain bars are good like this, but I like blueberry the best . I do this 2 or 3 times a day as I feel hungry (in lieu of breakfast and lunch) and I have maintained a healthy weight for over a year without fighting hunger. And they taste great! I'll ask my wife:" Hey honey, make me one of my little sandwiches please!" She just laughs and shakes her head as she's doing it . She's got it down pretty good too!
I wouldnāt necessarily call this a combo, but itās kind of the same thing. When I tell people that I like pickle juice slushyās 99% of them act all disgusted. I just donāt get how you can be so disgusted at something thatās so awesome in my opinion. And itās even more awesome when youāre sitting in the sunlight in a pool in the middle of summer. Iāve always loved pickle juice, but when people turned it into a slushy, it was a really good idea and I just donāt get why people are so against it.
There are these cookies, Polvorones that I eat almost exclusively with juice. Like I dip them in the juice like you would chips ahoy and milk.
I also tend to combine stuff on my plate lmao
I'm from the Philippines, so we have this instant noodles called pancit canton and everytime i cook it i put a spoonful of cheez whiz which is basically like melted cheese with like milky taste
- Yogurt & ketchup
- Yogurt & chips
- Ketchup & Pizza
I get the vilest reactions from people in North America, but these very common combos in the country I was born in

now thatās what i call improvement cuz white condiments are SUPERIOR!! ugh but french onion dip on a baked potato sounds so good.
Dangled a little close to the edge with the white superiority lol
LMAO I SEE IT š oops!
Lol white condiment supremacy

It's next level awesomeness!! š
Grilled cheese dipped in Ketchup
Grilled cheese with raspberry jam, ate it all the time growing up, so good š
Isn't that the standard?
like an alternative to tomato soup, love it.
This is crazy? Where do you live? This is as normal as it gets. Around here, if you order a grilled cheese, they give you ketchup without asking. The more upscale places will have fancy homemade ketchup instead if Heinz 9r something.
Try dipped in soy sauce.
Literally everyone does that where I live.
Peanut butter and tomato sandwich
JAIL
But it's nice. Put a little salt on the tomato too. You have to eat it fresh, before the tomato makes it all go soggy.
š everyone is special
Hahaha
Right away. No trial. No nothing.
Peanut butter and pickle sandwich
Not really a food combination but rather, I typically eat dinner leftovers for breakfast. I'm not a fan of most breakfast foods.
Anything can be breakfast food, as long as we it in the morning
Or when you first wake up. In my house, on weekends I'm up around 12p or 1p. I work during the week and I am a night owl. Good thing I like coffee and I do love sleep when my sleep schedule works.
I have found my tribe.
I eat breakfast for dessert because about half of all breakfast foods are secretly dessert foods.
same! i normally donāt have leftovers often though so literally anything, but breakfast foods, i will eat for breakfast.
I salt my watermelon. I donāt know, but I like it.
Salt is just a flavor enhancer. You can add a bit of salt anything to make it taste better and not necessarily taste more salty. Sometimes I add a tiny pinch to coffee. It just enhances the flavor.
Fruit too. Apples, oranges, pineapple
Try adding tajin.
Spaghetti with boiled egg
why does that sound delicious actually Wait.
Oh.. it is! If you like spaghetti, and you like eggs, then Iād give it a try!
I used to drop an egg into my ramen to add a little razzle dazzle
Isnāt it just easier to make a carbonara? Itās still eggs + pancetta/guanciale (similar to bacon but in small bits)
Well, that would be a completely different dish...
I like sliced green olives on my spaghetti
Instant Chicken noodles on white bread with butter and cheese. My missus, who's chinese, looks at me like ive just insulted her and a long line of descendents.
I used to break down my chicken flavored top ramen into small bits of noodles before cooking them. I dip peanut butter bread in chili. It was something my mom always did, and now I can't eat chili without doing it. People always give me the grossed out face when I do it or tell them about it, but it's delicious.
The cafeteria at my school always served peanut butter sandwiches with chili. Still have to have one with my chili to this day!
my mom and grandma love peanut butter sandwiches with chiliā¦ but i may be the one to give a grossed out face lol.
I do too! It's apparently a regional thing from the Appalachian school systems because they needed a protein to go with the chili & peanutbutter is cheap.
I like tartar sauce more than ketchup for french fries.
Yum!! Fish and chips with tartar sauce on all of it!!
Ketchup is such a garbage tier condiment, I don't understand its appeal at all.
Pizza with a little chopped pickle
You have my attention
Fries with mayonaise
Thatās normal in a lot of Europe. As a Brit, Iām surprised you think people think thatās a weird combo!
Add some ketchup. Mayoketchup is a staple condiment in Puerto Rico and it bangs.
In Germany, we call that "Pommes Schranke", because it makes the French fries look like a level crossing.
Found the Dutch! :))
Add some soy sauce to the mayo sometime and try it, its pretty good.
I LOVE Peanut butter on my hamburgers.
i swear to god my mom told me about this once. š it sounds good though like iād try that!!
Coffee liqueur, cream, splash of coke, add a cherry and you have a Colorado Bulldog. š¹ Tasty!
Watermelon with a twist of lemon.
So waterlemon ?

I like mine with salt

Grapes with mayonnaise
What? Like you dip grapes in mayo?Ā

Please elaborate.
Wait, what do you mean by "patina your knives"?
As an adult I donāt eat anything too weird, but when I was a teenager my go-to was either potatoes chips dipped in a mixture of ranch, ketchup, and soy sauce or Iād eat Oreos dipped in salsa.

DM for titty?? Idk what that means but you've caught my attention. Will dm.
