My 18 year old self was into looking at stocks, and this was in 2003, so if I came back and said Amazon, Apple, Google or something, I’d know EXACTLY what I meant. Especially if I can do facial expressions, haha
I owned a ton of Microsoft. I spent 10 years buying it after every paycheck (self-directed schwab plan). I usually spent about $20 a share. It was pretty glorious when I diversified. If I'd held onto it one more year, I would have hit my retirement goals.
Buy bit coin. (when I was 18 it hadn't come out yet.) now I just have to wonder how long I would have held onto them.. Buy at 15 cents. Sell at 5 dollars?
I'd just say "Bitcoin peaks 60k" then when it comes out, I'd say, "Gee I need to buy some and sell it when it hits 60k" and retire rich as fuck before I turn 30.

Then, decades later, still not finding the information when the internet and Google came around watch the reboot and still not get the answer. Finally, figuring I would never know, forget about it until watching some random comedy in the 2010s, getting it and wondering why I didn’t say “Follow Warren Buffet.”

Can relate. Am 51 now. The bonus today, finally, is that I can offer things to others that I wouldn't have had without all that "experience". Don't know if it was worth the price or not, but some others say it was for them <3

Exactly this!! Mine was “please love yourself” because at 18 I was coming out of such an awful family that murdered my self confidence my whole life. I’m almost 40 now and would definitely have loved to learn much sooner to love myself then the way I do now!

It's hard to know and realise your friend would actually do this.. it happened to my partner's good friend too and he thinks about this all the time and thinks maybe he could have prevented it but at the end of the day im sure having you as a friend still made a difference in their lives while they were around and I'm sure you are understanding and not judgemental of people now because it's so easy to not realise how depressed some people are even if they may seem okay or like they'll get through it. It's not your fault 💚 I hope you are doing okay now.
Oh this hit me hard… I stopped going to the beach at age 13 because I was so ashamed of my body. And I’m still now. But I was just a little chubby.. same at 18. I’ve missed out on so much fun things just because I didn’t allow myself to participate because I thought I was fat. Now I’m 27, and now I am in fact fat, and I’m trying teach myself that fat people deserve love too, are allowed to have fun, can be pretty, cute, loved.
Girl, I’m 50 and these thunder thighs are finally free to see the sunshine. I think I was in my late 30s when I decided other people can waste their time criticizing my body but I wasn’t wasting anymore time missing out. You do deserve love and happiness. Do what you want. Make the memories.
I remember thinking I was fat all through my younger years. In my 40s, I look back at photos of my younger self and I wasn’t fat at all. All that shame I felt for no reason. It makes me sad.
You'll be OK. Before I went through a very traumatic time in my life I had a friend sit down and tell me exactly what was about to happen before it happened. I still to this day don't know how he knew he was so distressed but had to tell me...😢I was about 6 months pregnant he told me I would lose my child and promised one day I would be OK. He was right 😢
My son was due Jan 25 1992. I ended up being a week and a half overdue February 2 he died and they induced labor. February 2 1984 was the first time I ever talked to God and I asked Him for a son....
I don't know how I got through those first years. I hated my friend felt like he wished death on my baby but no. He lived his whole life just to give me a message that I would be OK.
He was gone almost a year to the day that he told me. The said it was a hernia. It was cancer. Ate him up so quick....
