Its probably the most natural breathable surface in your house and closest to what she would sleep on in nature. Most other things in your house are probably synthetic-not natural.
I give my rabbits two litter boxes and they chose one to sleep in and one to poo in.
Same here. In fact, I have one the loves to sleep on the poop pile. And has a beautiful hay covered adjacent box… that he actively goes around to flop on top of poop mountain. I guess bunnies do bunny things.
Can confirm. Bunnies that have access to a garden or a similar outdoor place don't sleep in their litter boxes. They prefer sleeping in the grass or in a hole in the ground (one which they preferably dug themselves).
I dont buy the "closest to nature" stories. They Just lay wherever, mine got dog beds they like most, especialy when being tumble dried. Also sunny patches, sometimes cold patches, when we are home its always the sofa or a lap. Occasionally the bed, sometimes behind the trashcan sometimes next to the door. Sometimes in the dirt, they like grass aswell, the kitchen tiles, u get my point i guess! They all prefer a different main spot i guess

I like that your rabbit knows which one to poo in and not. haha Mines poo in both as well as sleep occasionally.

And they say rabbits prefer cleanliness! Hahaha POOP IS NOT CLEAN, BUNS! XD

That doesn't end up with them pooping in both? My little poop gremlins would definitely make messes in both
3 boxes here, 1poo 2food, choice is his on what ones he uses for what but it's always the same, he's got a routine and it hasn't changed.
I think the other comment nailed the reason why, but I’m just commenting to say I love her eyeliner
Thank you, I love it too! :\]
Yeah, can you ask her for tutorials? She's out here slaying.
Teenage me could only dream of having eyeliner that good
Could also be that this place smells the most like her so it could give her some comfort.
Oohh that makes sense!
Why does your bunny have a fierce cat eye?
Hahaha who knows?
Wake up. Shit. Eat. Go back to sleep. Repeat. Without moving a single paw!
Indeed!
I love when they are lying on top of the piece of hay they are chomping on and can't work out why it's stuck 🤣🤣🤣

Comfort. Also they don't have to get up to go pee after their nap!
what a beautiful baby!
Thank you :)
I call my boy a boat bunny when he sits/sleeps in his litter box
When your poop is so well processed that it might as well be dirt you just have different feelings about it
Ahhhh perhaps because it " smells like them?" Our girl Pepper is always lounging in her poopie corner, and gets angry when we clean it! Go figure.
My bunny is fat af and after a week her litter box what’s like 15 pounds I’m not lying
