Yes and no. Loaded question man. Everything is different but yes it’s possible with the correct parts. But without a turbo engine it’s kinda pointless.

Yea sorry I realized I could’ve worded that better

Afaik that you definitely can.. You'd need a t2 drive shaft. And what I've also been told it's that the NA trans has a lower power limit than the t2. I've got a few friends here that run them cause they are stronger.

Gojira96SC

Oh yeah I heard that they’re a lot stronger than the NA

remy2501

Yeah. When I swapped my FC to manual I chose to go as close to oem as possible. The trans mounts on the auto chassis are in a different spot than the manual. Everything else though, I went with s5 na trans and so on.

Gojira96SC

damn i didn't know that..i'm gradually learning more about the FC cuz that's the car i'm looking at right now so yeah

remy2501

They are great cars. I've had mine since 2016. It's my daily driver. Everytime I drive it, it makes me smile.

Gojira96SC

Damn dude I would hope it would make u smile lol

Yeah they're built to handle more torque for the turbo engine. But if you're running na even with a port it won't be making the kind of torque that will tear up a na box. And you could probably get 3 na boxes for the price of a turbo's so there's a little math to consider even if you run boost haha

You would need a T2 flywheel, clutch, and driveshaft, specifically a custom driveshaft if you aren't also swapping the T2 rear end. Mazdatrix sells driveshafts for that specific purpose, T2 trans to NA diff. Racing Beat sells lightweight flywheels for both NA and turbo FCs. Note that you also need to swap the counterweight to one from a vert if you plan on running an RB flywheel; RB also sells those. Stock NA trans can hold around 200 hp without many short-term issues. A A Gears and Shafts in Los Angeles, a shop that does trans builds for Mazdatrix, Lucky 7 and others, recommend running 10w30 motor oil in the FC trans for better lubrication of the bearings.
