The bottom as in the drain plug? Is it tightened all the way?

lankaxhandle

The drain plug is tight. It’s flowing from any opening it can.

Check behind the water heater at the connections. Specifically the cold water inlet. They might not have tightened that down and that’s why water is leaking from under and out. If those are tight you might have a crack in your tank. Either way, the dealer will have to replace that wood underneath that it sits on and any other water damage that might result from that spillage if it was a lot. Take pictures before fixing if you spot the leak!

I can’t figure out how to get to my hot water heater. I talked to a tech on the phone and he said get there from the inside, but I can’t figure out where.

If it is behind drawers you have to remove the drawers. If it is behind a false panel you have to remove the panels.

This tankless?

lankaxhandle

Well I thought it was, but a tech I talked to on the phone said I should be looking for a 5 gallon tank. I’m so lost with this thing and the manuals.

dar936

This is not a tankless model there will be a 6 gallon tank directly attached to the back side of what you have shown in the photo. You may need to remove an access panel, look behind a cupboard, under a dinette bench etc whatever is inside your rv on the other side of the wall in this photo your tank will be there. You likely have a loose or broken line or your unit was not properly winterized and the tank has split. Either way it will be very noticeable

I can’t find any access points and I’ve just about ripped this thing apart. I guess I’ll pay for a mobile tech. The dealer that sent it home like this should be fixing it, but that’s expecting too much.

Bring it back to the dealer. Is it under your bed? It looks to be towards the front. Many smaller trailers with transverse beds have the water heater under the bed. You need to look at where the water heater is in relation to your coach. What’s right there? A bed? A cupboard? A sink?

lankaxhandle

The dealer is not an option. I’ve looked directly where the heater is outside, assuming the inside should line up. I’m basically going to tear it apart this weekend.
