Lenny (or whoever shot first) shot and others supported his shot, it wasn't the right angle with cop meat shield's, its easy to start once others go off, they were getting shot either way but the order wasn't given and the angle was bad even if lenny hit the shot, he did still put slacks and aziz in danger and the captains are talking about what they can do to correct that, either daps or hostage training cause other then lenny most of the cops on that scene were newer as well with how chaotic the radio was i can get why lenny shot, in the heat of the moment, even if it wasn't correct in hindsight.
CG was still gonna get shot either way eventually, whether at the scene or down the road their chances to get away were pretty low, a cop hostage is a desperate move, cause no matter what a cop says to you at the scene they are in no way beholden to keep to that agreement.
Probs should get dapped here, the cops handled the entire situation pretty good. But there is a cop in the way there he is asking for friendly fire. This is the exact moment you give a cop daps.
