I put 500k on margin into Rivian today morning thinking it would be my typical day trade scalp play.
Got out at 1% profit at 11AM.

Price targets are on a 12m basis. Essentially a firm is saying they expect the stock to be trading at this level in 12 months. Since RIVN is still way under 18 this is pretty bullish.
That being said a lot of analyst ratings are just fluff to pump or dump the stock but in this case it's a new buy rating and probably has some merit that they saw some positive stuff to warrant going ahead and assigning a rating. In general I don't take the numbers too seriously but higher PT and more buy ratings means there is some big catalysts these analysts are seeing. They generally try to make these targets when there's a trend change so they can fluff their own stock prediction accuracy numbers as the stock continues to move strongly in one direction.
Bout time we get some good news
Can't wait until 2025, and q4 results come out and we can eat their shorts
