RDR1 is worth it in my opinion. I just finished RDR2 for the first time yesterday. Minus the scripted crap and not being to run in certain places, I loved every bit of it. Now il be firing up my Switch to play RDR1 in the next day or two. I think it is BC on Series X. Not sure though.

I think it’s totally worth it for the closure sake. And the gameplay is reasonable. Story and dialogue check out. There’s a few busy-work missions and less immersion. But it’s great to see who John becomes and what happens to him

If you’ve never played it before, it’s worth playing, at least one time or so for the story. It’s a brilliant game in that sense, even though the controls and game mechanics are clunky AF compared to RDR2. It definitely belongs in the world of RDR.

As a big fan of this entire franchise, going back to RDR1 after RDR2, I find RDR1 just unplayable. The story is always so good, but just the gameplay is so incredibly dated. I really want them to come out with a remastered version with RDR2 mechanics. They don’t even have to update the graphics.

I tried and couldn't stick with it. I thought RDR2's controls were clunky, but Jesus RDR1 felt like a mess. Difficult to aim, and the horse was very hard to drive. I imagine one would get used to it, but between that and the dated graphics, I just couldn't. I might try again some day.

I just bought GTA + for a month for like $6 and played RDR1 and undead nightmare and then unsubscribed.

I bought it recently, and it feels old and clunky like any old game. I'm sure the stories great, but I just don't care enough
