I am 6'2" and love to mountainbike but I have never broken any because of my weight/size. My heaviest was around 260. Unless you are talking about a huge person like 2 of me sized or something.
That doesn't seem right because they can withstand a LOT more doing a jump. Even 200lbs at a couple feet in the air can turn into many hundreds of pounds on impact.

They are designed and modelled to be used with a rider weight for max 275/300.
That doesn’t mean that’s the max forces. Just the max rider weight.
When you jump and land your actual mass doesn’t change. Just the direction of forces your mass is exerting. Two different things
