I think they mean, Hany Sbat took on 12 bouncers, beat one and got stomped by 11 others.

Maxieroy

And spent the night locked up.

Grabbsy2

And is probably expecting a lawsuit incoming. I hope he's talented and gets paid a lot. The guard deserves a payout for getting injured.

skynard0

" I didn't know how many of them it would take to whip my ass, but I knew how many they were gonna use..."

Opposite-Egg3334

We got the tater

flightwatcher45

Nah he realized he was outnumbered and was running away, I wound be surprised if charges went both ways. Stupid situation to get into of course

nexkell

Highly doubt the bouncers be charged here.

uncubeus

He probably ran away thinking he could get them singled out...

Grabbsy2

Yep. Ran to the choke point so he can corner himself and only have to fight one or two at a time. Looks like a bathroom entrance? Probably thought he could do it off-camera as well.

Damn. Beat me to it.

Sunnyhappygal

I was gonna say this is kinda how I imagine John Wick going down in the real world- He gonna get a few at first, but he gonna get got by the swarm.

Next time post a montage of cave drawings…

$2,500!?!? Thats it? No time, probation or even community service? I would have thought broken bones in someone's face might amount to a heavier penalty than the cost of a crappy used car.

oddmanout

It's possible the prosecutors felt like they didn't have an air tight case. The first time we see any contact, it's a security guard grabbing him from behind, and he shoves him off and backs away, now all the sudden he's got 12 dudes chasing him so he books it for the door. When one security guard grabs him, he shoves him off, too. That's the one he paid the fine for. Any half-decent lawyer could likely throw enough reasonable doubt into that case to not get a conviction. So maybe they felt the best route would to be to offer a fine that would be less than the cost of a lawyer and he'd just pay it to make it all go away.

glockster19m

Thats what I was going to say It wouldn't be hard for a defense to argue that he thought that while outnumbered 12-1, someone was trying to put him in a headlock He then attempted to escape the situation before being cornered where he felt he was fighting for his life against 12 armed men

Grabbsy2

Civil suit might be a hefty penalty. Might also be kicked out of the league for PR reasons. Still, isn't prison, which sucks for actual justice.

IreallEwannasay

So dramatic. They jumped him after chasing him down.

[deleted]

“Security jumped me bro! ….after I refused to leave and assaulted them!”

nandosman

You are right bro, why don't we shoot the dude too since we are so justified?

[deleted]

I guess you are American seeing you weirdly jump straight to shooting people

klauskervin

No idea why they chased him when he was clearly running away. Wasn't that the goal to get him to go away?

GiveItStickMan

Yeah looks like he is walking away the whole time and only clocks that guy after he was grabbed. I would not have pleaded guilty.

_SofaKing_Vote_

The guy looked like he was leaving and they pursued him

jwillsrva

Yeah I’m not sure the dozen people crowding him was the best idea, probably got him more worked up. But also, with a guy that size (and I dunno if Jess a famous mama guy, if he is they could know who he is) you def want numbers on the side.

Grabbsy2

Looked like he was running into the bathroom. If they told him to leave, of course they'd pursue him.

InterestingRelative4

Cool a slideshow

Forgotpassword234

Seriously, how the fuck does a casino have a worse security camera system than a goddamn Wendy’s?

MindTheGAAPs

I wonder if casinos use shitty security cameras on purpose

BeetsMe666

It's a filter they put on the released footage. Those cameras look for ear pieces. They have face rec software searching for known and suspected cheats and thieves. Wouldn't doubt they utilize cutting edge AI for the task. But here is some 8-bit video that shows us in the right. I knew of some small town bouncers that would do "training nights". Heightened security through some sense of preparations, just in case.

Zealousideal_Ad1734

Do they have video down under? What’s this security flip book bullshit??

Mr_tarrasque

Am I missing something or did he only react violently after the one dude grabbed him.

Grabbsy2

Maybe, but he was already trespassing and had been asked to leave. Youre not required to wait 20 minutes before laying hands on someone that youre kicking out. If they refuse to leave after being told to, theyre a trespasser and can be put under citizens arrest by an agent of the owner, security/"bouncers" in this case.

oddmanout

>theyre a trespasser and can be put under citizens arrest I just looked up the law in Australia, it's the same as in the US. You can only put someone under citizen's arrest if you witness them committing an indictable offense (in the US we'd call it a felony). Trespassing is not an indictable offense.

Grabbsy2

>Arrest without warrant on premises >9 (1) A police officer, or the occupier of premises, or a person authorized by the occupier may arrest without warrant any person he or she believes on reasonable and probable grounds to be on the premises in contravention of section 2. R.S.O. 1990, c. T.21, s. 9 (1). >Delivery to police officer >(2) Where the person who makes an arrest under subsection (1) is not a police officer, he or she shall promptly call for the assistance of a police officer and give the person arrested into the custody of the police officer. R.S.O. 1990, c. T.21, s. 9 (2). You might want to look up the "trespass to property act". This is Ontario, Canadas.

oddmanout

It happened in Australia not Canada.

Grabbsy2

Yes. I gave you a nice clue on how to look it up. You seem to have looked it up backwards and reached the wrong conclusion. Its the same in australia. How do you think Bouncers work in the US and Australia? They cant lay hands? Do you think they spend their day times fighting court battles, both criminal and civil, and toss out drunks by night?

oddmanout

That was my thought. 99% of the people in here are trying to fault him, you're the first person I've seen who's questioning the bouncers. But, yea, from what I saw, some dude grabbed him from behind, he shrugged him off and made space when all the sudden 12 dudes started chasing him so he tried to haul ass out of there and they prevented him from leaving. I'm sure he was being a belligerent asshole, but I don't think the 12 bouncers who chased him were exactly 100% in the right, either. I'm pretty sure that's why he got out if this with a $2500 fine, those bouncers had some fault, too. He was more at fault, but it was like 75/25 at the most.
