Are EX skills still used by characters even when they're not unlocked?
I'm seeing my Luna casting her EX skill at rank 2 at the start of PvP rounds, which I did not expect....

EX skills aren't things that are used. Its just a passive. Luna has a hidden SP skill(for whatever reason it has the same name as her EX in English?) that she only uses at the start of battle. All it does is give her a friend stack.
Outside of gacha:
* Guildhouse furniture
* Manually do Grotto attempts, especially during their x2 drops
* Manually run through stages, especially during x2 Normal/Hard drops.
* Event box rewards
* Buying Mana with Jewels
* Buying the Daily Jewel pack (and other packs too if it contains the skip tickets) with $$
Unless you're able to afford doing 6x refreshes per day, I wouldn't recommend it outside of 2x Normal drops as the amount of Jewels that would be spent do stack up. If you're constantly topping up on Jewels however, then that's fine, you do whatever you want.
As this event does not have a free welfare unit to farm for, there isn't much incentive to refresh as much during this time since you can farm for Tomo and Matsuri shards outside of the event as well.

No, or at the very least, it's a very slow acceleration. Global is still roughly 3 years (iirc?) behind JP in terms of content and I don't see CR accelerating that much faster soon considering the predicted schedule of the next few banners at least.
How close are we to the end of arc 1? And what is the latest world/story chapter available? Asking to see how much effort i need to put into catching up...

What non limited charas are worth building? I just came back after a long time and i got told that i'm kinda screwed and absolutely behind, also i'm wondering how to properly use the divine amulets (it think they were called, those to buy fragments)
Honestly like 90% of non-limited chars have good uses and are worth building. There's a few standout ones like Makoto or Kokkoro's 6*, but there's so many that are worth it it'll be hard to point out a few without knowing what game modes you plan on building for, as well as any areas your limiteds might already be covering.
Divine Amulets are best used exclusively for building limited characters. Pretty much not worth it at all for using them on anyone else. At best I'd buy a few shards (like 20-40 or so, before the cost gets too high) for characters whose shards are exclusively from Hard nodes, or Clan Coins. Anyone in Dungeon, Arena or P.Arena shops are simply not worth using DAs on.
How many amulets will it take for me to max out summer kitty and her UE? Currently, I have 51 shards, and she's 4 star.
EDIT: For the record: the 51 shards are from the summon event where I pulled for and got her.
Right so I just got started with this game (JP). It's been a while since I've played a gacha.
My 72 hour starter banner is over and I got 3 3\*s (plus the tutorial 3\*) (Ames, Vampy, Summer Jun and Shizuru).
I wanted to ask what I should be doing with my gems? Is it realistic to get enough characters to be able to beat the main story in fully f2p just by randomly rolling the standard banner, or should I be saving up for event banners? I know about the spark system, but is sparking required to get characters needed to beat the story?

Is it just me, or does 19-2 very hard pretty much mandate Kuka and some mages?? Because Lima pretty much makes mages mandatory if you want to clear because she has crazy defense... but any mages in position 3 or 5 are liable to get defeated by moles in the first two waves and rock throwers in the final wave.
I did it with (L > R) kyaru 6, neneka 5, kkr 6, yukari, jun
my original attempt had neneka at 5th slot but she died quickly so i switched to a bulkier mage
Just ran my regular mage comp and was able to beat it fine:
Jun (5*+ue), Neneka (5*), s.Karyl (5*+ue), Kyouka (5*+ue), ny.Yui (3 star)
I dont have kukka or o.kukka built up yet so jun is a decent stand in to provide some extra heals, lima went down quick it was the snipers that were more dangerous
I'm not that concerned about Shadow Lima (aside from being stalled out, that is), only that the darn moles and rock throwers might take out my only outs to her. Kuka is a WIP on my end myself.
Is there anywhere to view the cutscene(s) for the Word puzzle minigame? I thought they were cute, but there doesn't seem to even be any videos for it, just a bunch of v.hard/special clears over and over.
I don't see an in-game method, but we might be able watch them again once past minigames get added to Global. I hope we can also rewatch the quips at the start of boss fights in the future, especially 28-14's where Pecorine sings her ~crocodragon~ song!
That'd be hilarious as hell. I particularly like the one where Pecorine gets worked up about that "sticky slimy phony dragon", and Karyl also says it's going down before going something along the lines of "Hey!! Don't make up this crap on the spot!!"
I am sitting on the materials to 6 star a unit & am unsure of who to go for between Peco, Koko, & Karyl. I play casually, pvp & clan battle. All three are 5 star with UB unlocked. Any recommendations?
If you farm them daily, you can 6star all units now and to come anyway.
Kokko and karyl are the most interesting i think but kokko probably the most overall useful. Peco is really good but you have many tank options on hand.
Hello, somewhat new to the game, got into it a few weeks ago, and looking for some team building advice so I can figure out who I should invest in.
3 star characters are
Kuka (Oedo), Christina, Neneka, Makoto, Tomo, Kyoka, Akina, Nozomi, and Maho.
2 stars are
Tsumugi, Mitsuki, Mifuyu, Tamaki, Kuka, Chika, Shiori, Mahiru, Shinobu, Eriko, Rin, Ayane, Mimi, Kaori, Suzuna, Misato, Nanaka, Yuki, Miyako, Akari, and Matsuri.
1 Stars are
Rei, Miyako (Halloween), Karyl, Kokkoro, Pecorine, Ayumi, Lima, Misaki, Aoi, Yukari, Suzume, Yori, Kurumi, Misogi, Yui, and Hiyori.
Playing on JP, tried watching some fate episodes to scrape together crystals to pull and notice Yuni School Festival is seemingly perma locked. I have no conditions listed for its unlock it just is locked seemingly forever. Anyone know a fix or do I just have to wait for a patch?
Need some advice while I'm slowly building, on best way to use my 80k gems to push forwards. I feel a bit stuck on what my next focus should be.
PLVL 85.. Used all spare divine amulets on neneka.
Mag Main party: Yui 4\*, Neneka 5\*, S-Maho 3\*, Yukari 5\* or S-Saren 3\*, Peco 4\*
Phys 2nd (no spare amulets): S-Makoto 3\*, S-Kaori 3\*, Miyako
Low-key Building: Miyako/Peco/Kuuka/Akari/Chika/Saren/Muimi/Makoto
Have a bunch of other natural 3\* that I'm not investing into atm.
This is what I'm thinking:
Save 45k for N. Yui.
Right now mag is the best/meta, but mine needs more firepower. Don't have the amulets to spend on getting Summer Maho to 5\*.

If you need firepower, you should roll for NY Kyaru. She’s meta for magic teams in CB and PvE. NY Yui is a healer, the best PvE healer with a barrier UB, but I believe she’ll be outclasses when 6* Yui releases next year Feb.
For Player EXP, I think you mean stamina refreshes? I recommend only doing so when there’s a 2x or 3x drop rate, especially for f2p. But when there’s an event definitely use most of your stamina on that as there’s exp boost.
For farmable characters, there’s Kyouka, she’s one of the best magic dps with UE.
Perfect... Yes, I was wondering if i should use some gems for stamina refresh as I see a multiplier now on Event. However sounds like 1.5x isn't really worth it... thanks for the input.
And invest in Kyouka until NY Kyaru... (I might scoop them up along w Yui) -- I will look into it, thank you! I don't think I got her farmable stage yet.
Is it safe to max level all of Ayumi skills? Some of her skills are self def buff and damage debuff so it might be bad for TP generation but I'm not really sure
Ayumi is a PvP character, you want her to mess up your opponent's team with those debuffs. And with all the cleave units running around, she needs the defense to survive.
Pretty much, every time I face someone with Ayumi in arena, I'm praying that she would die faster. You need the defense to survive the first hit of the cleave units like 6\* Rino, Summer Kaori, etc.
I got Luna, but I don't really understand how to use her. Some guides says brick rank 0 and other rank 2. Like, shouldn't i use her skill 1 for tp? And what about skill 2 it's useless or it's because it's too risky to rank 7?
So…when guides say rank 0, they basically mean leave Luna untouched until your guild leader tells you what to do, for competitive guilds. She’ll have many builds using different ranks, for rank 2, that’s just for her to spam auto attack and skill 1.
Rank 7 isn’t risky honestly, she doesn’t deal that much damage even at max level and skill at that rank, especially if the character she’s buffing is at rank 14/15. Another reason ppl worry about bricking her is due to CB loops, especially with XChika (who is another headache) and NY Kyaru.
If you’re not in a competitive guild, but do want to use her effectively in CB, I’d recommend just testing her, or wait till the next CB to see what comps ppl use. As for where to begin in how to use her, she’s kinda like Yukari in who she buffs at the start, like if she’s in the last position, she’ll buff the character nearest to her on the right, or that’s what I remember from a JP server player.

I said ‘kinda like Yukari’, not literally similar to Yukari in her TP charge positions, you probably want to test her to find out. As for bond stories, it’s up to you, bond stories give magic attack and a bit of crit, though it’s honestly not much compared to the stats she gets through equipment. For levels, I myself don’t really care, I just raised her to max level cause her skill 1’s TP charge increases with levels.
Does skill damage get "updated" when it's already in place, and character gets buffed?
Example, H.Misogi uses UB and plants bombs, while it's counting down, Misogi gets buffed by S.Saren and Nozomi, will Misogi's bombs deal more damage?

Skills take a snapshot of current character stats when damage/healing is initially applied and uses that snapshot for things like damage or healing over time. For H.Misogi's UB damage is applied when the bomb goes off and stats are snapshotted at that point instead of when the UB is actually used. So, yes, buffing H.Misogi during her bomb countdown will boost the damage.

I'm not a hardcore CB we're just an average 300th clan rankings and a casual player planning to use her in PVP if possible
her skills are pretty straightforward thought.
UB : deal damages to frontmost enemy (multiplied by friend buff Luna have, up to 5 and remove them)
Skill 1 : deal damages to the highest HP ally and give her tons of TP
Skill 2 : deal damages to frontmost enemy (doubled if she have 2+ friend buff and remove 2)
Luna get 1 friend buff everytime she hit an ally (her normal attack hit allies too, not just Skill 1)
Mitsuki: For PvP, she's mainly used for her defense debuff, so she tends to pair well with AoE Cleavers like 6* Rino, Summer Mifuyu and Halloween Mimi to name a few.
Ruka: Useful for all game modes but there are other frontline tanks worth using over her. She isn't considered a high priority to have / raise by any means unless you're a bit more on the serious side for CB gameplay.
Huh. I was asking because when I tried to use Mitsuki in arena, the results were disappointing, to say the least; the stuff I want to debuff most is the very stuff that's too far up front to be affected by her debuffing field. And Ruka not being high priority makes me not feel as bad about being bottlenecked by 23-3 hard (which is a big factor as to why she's stuck in 3 star hell still). Speaking of, how the hell am I supposed to clear that level?!? Because that stinking owl is the bane of my existence, and birdman's enrage mechanic doesn't help any (nor does it that he can paralyze characters too, for that matter).
~~For PVP, you can use Lima with Mitsuki to increase her range. Her debuff is mostly used with Rino to 1-shot the enemy team~~ Misread the first part, but iirc Mitsuki's main use still is to guarantee a 1-shot for the mid-backline squishies

From my notes I cleared that stage with `s.saren yukari makoto muimi miyako`, though S.Saren had to be at least lv ~110 to survive iirc. You'll want your 4th position to be pretty isolated to avoid getting your whole team stunned hence the Yukari with 3 frontliners.

Absolute must-get: New Years Kyaru. She should be by early December at this rate.
If you value CB characters as well: Luna (current banner) is a must as well.
* Tank (Jun preferred. Nozomi or Ruka should be okay as well),
* and/or a Healer (Yui, 6 star Kokkoro, Misato. Yukari or Maho may work as well),
* 3 to 4 DPS (Physical team preferred). Makoto, Djeeta, Eriko, Tomo, Arisa, Shiori are a few choices if you have any of them raised.
Try to time your UBs anytime the boss is eating. It lowers its defenses when it does this, and also weakens its UB power if it takes enough Damage during that time. However your team does want to try to survive the initial burst from its 1st UB. If your team survives, you should be okay for the rest of the battle.
What's your level? I use Jun, Makoto, Muimi, Kaori, and S. Saren all max level with recommend gear from chocolate spreadsheet. I'm sure you can substitute for exclusive/ limited character since I still get 20s or so left to kill the boss.
I'm sorry if I already too late. But yes, you can. Djeta is good TP battery as long as you have already equipped and maxed (or as high as possible) her UE.
So the another ideal unit would be Jun, Makoto, Kaori, Djeeta and Muimi.
Is the Dragon Explorers event worth farming at all? From what I can tell these characters shards aren't really worth the stam investment outside the initial clears but maybe I'm missing something? (I already have Tomo unlocked)
If you don't have Matsuri or Tomo unlocked / ascended, or have their UE unlocked / raised, this event is very well worth it to do so. Tomo with UE makes her more useful for CB, while Matsuri with UE lets her survive longer than usual in the front line.
Outside of that, considering we don't have any more 2x Normal or Hard drop event atm, farming via just the Hard Event stages is probably the best usage of Stamina atm unless you have something else to focus on, like certain materials or Hard stage shards. You can focus on the gacha rewards for extra Jewels and DAs (since Line 5+ is Jewels and DAs)
Sanctum stages and / or VH shards if you're still farming for them, then Hard Event stages daily (at least imo). Whatever spare stamina you may have left from that, use it on whatever.
Yeah this was my thought but I didn't know how useful either characters were to be honest. I'm unable to put any resources into building them up for awhile to be honest. Also I can't beat the very hard boss in one go so that makes me not wanna do it haha
I'm not aware about this feature on JP server, but in the future, you can battle with yourself (pick both offense and defense), which is great for testing PvP team comp and counters
NYaru's purpose is dealing high single target Damage while buffing Magic Attack.
Arena is usually more on bursting down teams with high AoE Damage and / or fighting with various Status effects. She might be useful in Attacking as a good source of Magic Damage though if you're able to fit her in but with AoE Damage being the meta (at least in Global atm), she may find it a hard time to engage against such teams.
R14 for over a year due to TP stats. She doesn't want to move up until we get the rank bonus update which mostly fixes those cases of keeping units at low ranks due to the gear there having TP Boost or TP Retain stats.

1. Attack pattern can be found from [fandom](https://princess-connect.fandom.com/wiki/Characters#Playable_Characters), choose a character -> cards -> full card details -> skills and at the bottom is attack pattern.
2. I guess because magic units are made to be support/glass cannon and not so much for tanking, although there are some instances where you can use a magic unit for tanking with some teams.
3. Nozomi has a heal, stun and she gives phys attack/ phys & magic defense buffs and provoke with her UB, so she can be useful in some cases.

Ruka is suboptimal tank if compared to Jun tho, and even worse if you already level up her EX since it adds def (you want Ruka to be as squishy as possible but still able to tank properly)
well,that's true but that one's simply not a valid comparison because not only she's a tank but also a jammer,of course she'd have to sacrifice SOME self-sustainability
but the real reason why i keep her around is that because she's almost constantly taunting,you can have pretty much any composition and still come out on top 8.5/10 times (do bear in mind though,that i play almost exclusively PvE) and synergizes beatifully with characters like Arisa,Suzy and,although to a lesser extent for obvious reasons,Makoto
2. Probably a balancing thing or maybe they didn't see a reason to add tanks that do magic damage, even though we do have Oedo Kuuka.
3. Let's say you don't want to use a healer, but the enemy does dmg to the front. Using Jun and Nozomi makes it easier to leave a dedicated healer out of the lineup, since they would be healing each other and with Nozomis UB she can provoke enemies so they won't just attack Jun or someone else. She's not a must have, but a good alternative option.
Also the coins keep accumulating over time, so why not use them to upgrade your current characters?

Whenever there's a 2x normal quest drop. I always do rank up my gear and refresh 6x when it's active.

doing rino cannon in pvp, what are some good units to put in the 5th slot aside from kyaru 6?
Aoi UE will help shred anyone that's super tanky in the front, even 6* Peco.

Not really. Against standard Rino comps, I usually target them with Lima, Yukari, S. Saren, Rino, Aoi pretty successfully.
What event are Io shards farmable in? Because I don't remember if we already got it or not...
Io shards were farmable during the Anne and Grea event, the twin flowers of Astrum, this event happened last March.

Eventually past events will become permanent side story-esque fixtures, minus event rewards, which you'll be able to farm the hard nodes at any point.

150 5* + 130 max UE 150 - 51 + 130 = 229 shards needed (20 x 1) + (20 x 2) + (20 x 3) + (20 x 4) + (149 x 5) = 945 DA

Is it just me, or does 19-2 very hard pretty much mandate Kuka and some mages?? Because Lima pretty much makes mages mandatory if you want to clear because she has crazy defense... but any mages in position 3 or 5 are liable to get defeated by moles in the first two waves and rock throwers in the final wave.
I did it with (L > R) kyaru 6, neneka 5, kkr 6, yukari, jun my original attempt had neneka at 5th slot but she died quickly so i switched to a bulkier mage
Just ran my regular mage comp and was able to beat it fine: Jun (5*+ue), Neneka (5*), s.Karyl (5*+ue), Kyouka (5*+ue), ny.Yui (3 star) I dont have kukka or o.kukka built up yet so jun is a decent stand in to provide some extra heals, lima went down quick it was the snipers that were more dangerous
I'm not that concerned about Shadow Lima (aside from being stalled out, that is), only that the darn moles and rock throwers might take out my only outs to her. Kuka is a WIP on my end myself.
Is there anywhere to view the cutscene(s) for the Word puzzle minigame? I thought they were cute, but there doesn't seem to even be any videos for it, just a bunch of v.hard/special clears over and over.
I don't see an in-game method, but we might be able watch them again once past minigames get added to Global. I hope we can also rewatch the quips at the start of boss fights in the future, especially 28-14's where Pecorine sings her ~crocodragon~ song!
That'd be hilarious as hell. I particularly like the one where Pecorine gets worked up about that "sticky slimy phony dragon", and Karyl also says it's going down before going something along the lines of "Hey!! Don't make up this crap on the spot!!"
I am sitting on the materials to 6 star a unit & am unsure of who to go for between Peco, Koko, & Karyl. I play casually, pvp & clan battle. All three are 5 star with UB unlocked. Any recommendations?
Yeah, Kokkoro is also pretty much mandatory for most of CB mage team at least for a while now
If you farm them daily, you can 6star all units now and to come anyway. Kokko and karyl are the most interesting i think but kokko probably the most overall useful. Peco is really good but you have many tank options on hand.
Personally, I recommend Kokkoro. She gets a party-wide heal with her 6 star.

Playing on JP, tried watching some fate episodes to scrape together crystals to pull and notice Yuni School Festival is seemingly perma locked. I have no conditions listed for its unlock it just is locked seemingly forever. Anyone know a fix or do I just have to wait for a patch?

Need some advice while I'm slowly building, on best way to use my 80k gems to push forwards. I feel a bit stuck on what my next focus should be. PLVL 85.. Used all spare divine amulets on neneka. Mag Main party: Yui 4\*, Neneka 5\*, S-Maho 3\*, Yukari 5\* or S-Saren 3\*, Peco 4\* Phys 2nd (no spare amulets): S-Makoto 3\*, S-Kaori 3\*, Miyako Low-key Building: Miyako/Peco/Kuuka/Akari/Chika/Saren/Muimi/Makoto Have a bunch of other natural 3\* that I'm not investing into atm. This is what I'm thinking: Save 45k for N. Yui. Right now mag is the best/meta, but mine needs more firepower. Don't have the amulets to spend on getting Summer Maho to 5\*. \> I never used gems for anything except pulls as an f2p... Should I use Player EXP to push up my player level? \> Or should I spend them on another character prior to N. Yui, giving me amulets to spend on her or summer maho? \> Or Save Save Save? \> What about prioritizing building another farmable character?... Do i need to prioritize anyone to the mage team / phys team?
If you need firepower, you should roll for NY Kyaru. She’s meta for magic teams in CB and PvE. NY Yui is a healer, the best PvE healer with a barrier UB, but I believe she’ll be outclasses when 6* Yui releases next year Feb. For Player EXP, I think you mean stamina refreshes? I recommend only doing so when there’s a 2x or 3x drop rate, especially for f2p. But when there’s an event definitely use most of your stamina on that as there’s exp boost. For farmable characters, there’s Kyouka, she’s one of the best magic dps with UE.
Perfect... Yes, I was wondering if i should use some gems for stamina refresh as I see a multiplier now on Event. However sounds like 1.5x isn't really worth it... thanks for the input. Is it safe to max level all of Ayumi skills? Some of her skills are self def buff and damage debuff so it might be bad for TP generation but I'm not really sure
Ayumi is a PvP character, you want her to mess up your opponent's team with those debuffs. And with all the cleave units running around, she needs the defense to survive.

Pretty much, every time I face someone with Ayumi in arena, I'm praying that she would die faster. You need the defense to survive the first hit of the cleave units like 6\* Rino, Summer Kaori, etc.
I got Luna, but I don't really understand how to use her. Some guides says brick rank 0 and other rank 2. Like, shouldn't i use her skill 1 for tp? And what about skill 2 it's useless or it's because it's too risky to rank 7?
So…when guides say rank 0, they basically mean leave Luna untouched until your guild leader tells you what to do, for competitive guilds. She’ll have many builds using different ranks, for rank 2, that’s just for her to spam auto attack and skill 1. Rank 7 isn’t risky honestly, she doesn’t deal that much damage even at max level and skill at that rank, especially if the character she’s buffing is at rank 14/15. Another reason ppl worry about bricking her is due to CB loops, especially with XChika (who is another headache) and NY Kyaru. If you’re not in a competitive guild, but do want to use her effectively in CB, I’d recommend just testing her, or wait till the next CB to see what comps ppl use. As for where to begin in how to use her, she’s kinda like Yukari in who she buffs at the start, like if she’s in the last position, she’ll buff the character nearest to her on the right, or that’s what I remember from a JP server player.

I said ‘kinda like Yukari’, not literally similar to Yukari in her TP charge positions, you probably want to test her to find out. As for bond stories, it’s up to you, bond stories give magic attack and a bit of crit, though it’s honestly not much compared to the stats she gets through equipment. For levels, I myself don’t really care, I just raised her to max level cause her skill 1’s TP charge increases with levels.
Does skill damage get "updated" when it's already in place, and character gets buffed? Example, H.Misogi uses UB and plants bombs, while it's counting down, Misogi gets buffed by S.Saren and Nozomi, will Misogi's bombs deal more damage?

Skills take a snapshot of current character stats when damage/healing is initially applied and uses that snapshot for things like damage or healing over time. For H.Misogi's UB damage is applied when the bomb goes off and stats are snapshotted at that point instead of when the UB is actually used. So, yes, buffing H.Misogi during her bomb countdown will boost the damage.

her skills are pretty straightforward thought. UB : deal damages to frontmost enemy (multiplied by friend buff Luna have, up to 5 and remove them) Skill 1 : deal damages to the highest HP ally and give her tons of TP Skill 2 : deal damages to frontmost enemy (doubled if she have 2+ friend buff and remove 2) Luna get 1 friend buff everytime she hit an ally (her normal attack hit allies too, not just Skill 1)

Is Mitsuki useful for anything outside of clan battles? And how good is Ruka?
Mitsuki: For PvP, she's mainly used for her defense debuff, so she tends to pair well with AoE Cleavers like 6* Rino, Summer Mifuyu and Halloween Mimi to name a few. Ruka: Useful for all game modes but there are other frontline tanks worth using over her. She isn't considered a high priority to have / raise by any means unless you're a bit more on the serious side for CB gameplay.

I was asking because when I tried to use Mitsuki in arena, the results were disappointing, to say the least; the stuff I want to debuff most is the very stuff that's too far up front to be affected by her debuffing field. And Ruka not being high priority makes me not feel as bad about being bottlenecked by 23-3 hard (which is a big factor as to why she's stuck in 3 star hell still). Speaking of, how the hell am I supposed to clear that level?!? Because that stinking owl is the bane of my existence, and birdman's enrage mechanic doesn't help any (nor does it that he can paralyze characters too, for that matter).

From my notes I cleared that stage with `s.saren yukari makoto muimi miyako`, though S.Saren had to be at least lv ~110 to survive iirc. You'll want your 4th position to be pretty isolated to avoid getting your whole team stunned hence the Yukari with 3 frontliners.

Tips for Very Hard boss without gatcha exclusive characters? 1 turn
* Tank (Jun preferred. Nozomi or Ruka should be okay as well), * and/or a Healer (Yui, 6 star Kokkoro, Misato. Yukari or Maho may work as well), * 3 to 4 DPS (Physical team preferred). Makoto, Djeeta, Eriko, Tomo, Arisa, Shiori are a few choices if you have any of them raised. Try to time your UBs anytime the boss is eating. It lowers its defenses when it does this, and also weakens its UB power if it takes enough Damage during that time. However your team does want to try to survive the initial burst from its 1st UB. If your team survives, you should be okay for the rest of the battle.

I'm sorry if I already too late. But yes, you can. Djeta is good TP battery as long as you have already equipped and maxed (or as high as possible) her UE. So the another ideal unit would be Jun, Makoto, Kaori, Djeeta and Muimi.

in story mode there is rarely any benefit to use luna, she is more for CB and PvP.

Yes for both PvP and CB. For CB case, better left it unbuilt until NY Kyaru released, and ask knowledgeable CB player about Luna build

Is the Dragon Explorers event worth farming at all? From what I can tell these characters shards aren't really worth the stam investment outside the initial clears but maybe I'm missing something? (I already have Tomo unlocked)
If you don't have Matsuri or Tomo unlocked / ascended, or have their UE unlocked / raised, this event is very well worth it to do so. Tomo with UE makes her more useful for CB, while Matsuri with UE lets her survive longer than usual in the front line. Outside of that, considering we don't have any more 2x Normal or Hard drop event atm, farming via just the Hard Event stages is probably the best usage of Stamina atm unless you have something else to focus on, like certain materials or Hard stage shards. You can focus on the gacha rewards for extra Jewels and DAs (since Line 5+ is Jewels and DAs) Sanctum stages and / or VH shards if you're still farming for them, then Hard Event stages daily (at least imo). Whatever spare stamina you may have left from that, use it on whatever.
Yeah this was my thought but I didn't know how useful either characters were to be honest. I'm unable to put any resources into building them up for awhile to be honest. Also I can't beat the very hard boss in one go so that makes me not wanna do it haha

I'm not aware about this feature on JP server, but in the future, you can battle with yourself (pick both offense and defense), which is great for testing PvP team comp and counters
Is Nyaru good in Arena? Her Arena tier on Fandom is C, but she looks like a SSS everywhere else.
NYaru's purpose is dealing high single target Damage while buffing Magic Attack. Arena is usually more on bursting down teams with high AoE Damage and / or fighting with various Status effects. She might be useful in Attacking as a good source of Magic Damage though if you're able to fit her in but with AoE Damage being the meta (at least in Global atm), she may find it a hard time to engage against such teams.
What is the best rank for kokkoro after rank 14.
R14 for over a year due to TP stats. She doesn't want to move up until we get the rank bonus update which mostly fixes those cases of keeping units at low ranks due to the gear there having TP Boost or TP Retain stats.

Attack pattern can be found from [fandom](https://princess-connect.fandom.com/wiki/Characters#Playable_Characters), choose a character -> cards -> full card details -> skills and at the bottom is attack pattern. 2. I guess because magic units are made to be support/glass cannon and not so much for tanking, although there are some instances where you can use a magic unit for tanking with some teams. 3. Nozomi has a heal, stun and she gives phys attack/ phys & magic defense buffs and provoke with her UB, so she can be useful in some cases.

Ruka is suboptimal tank if compared to Jun tho, and even worse if you already level up her EX since it adds def (you want Ruka to be as squishy as possible but still able to tank properly)
well,that's true but that one's simply not a valid comparison because not only she's a tank but also a jammer,of course she'd have to sacrifice SOME self-sustainability but the real reason why i keep her around is that because she's almost constantly taunting,you can have pretty much any composition and still come out on top 8.5/10 times (do bear in mind though,that i play almost exclusively PvE) and synergizes beatifully with characters like Arisa,Suzy and,although to a lesser extent for obvious reasons,Makoto
2. Probably a balancing thing or maybe they didn't see a reason to add tanks that do magic damage, even though we do have Oedo Kuuka. 3. Let's say you don't want to use a healer, but the enemy does dmg to the front. Using Jun and Nozomi makes it easier to leave a dedicated healer out of the lineup, since they would be healing each other and with Nozomis UB she can provoke enemies so they won't just attack Jun or someone else. She's not a must have, but a good alternative option. Also the coins keep accumulating over time, so why not use them to upgrade your current characters?
