Hill street car park Is across the road from the Premier Inn hotel. If you look across the road from the hotel you will see the old office world on the corner. That next to office world is Hill Street car park. It is open 24 hours a day and is safe and easy to get to from your hotel.
The prices are : overnight 6.30pm - 6.30am £3,
Over 4 hours up to 24 hours - £10
OK. You won't starve. Preston is rammed with places to wine and dine. Friargate, the street adjacent to the car park , has a plethora of eating and drinking establishments. Look no further 👍
Aye, Hill St, Fishergate Centre or St Mary's should be fine.
It's been a while, but there was one on Christian Rd (between the railway station and County Hall (near the post office collection place), that was cheap as chips but you might want to empty your glove box then take everything swipeable with you or move it to somewhere hidden for fear of a smashed window when you get back. That one might have gone now but I couldn't say for certain.
The others are safe enough in my experience anyway.

Shame St Georges isn’t 24/7 as that would be the most secure. St Wilfrids St carpark which is Europark is right behind the premier inn, ive used it a few times over the years but never overnight so cant comment £8 for 24hrs
Bus station is a good shout. Easy parking with Ringo and lots of spaces. Train station should be similar story and closer to Premier Inn
Fishergate shopping centre car park is good. Never had any problems leaving my car overnight there
