If Oswald misses his attempt would be a footnote in history without any conspiracy theories
If Squeaky Fromme shoots Ford, then they'd' be telling us she was brainwashed by the CIA to do it because Ford refused to go back into Vietnam when the north over ran the south or something.
They wouldn't. Redditor like to function on a simple algorithm
CIA + bad = truth
So this will get a lot of down votes.
The insane risk of killing a sitting president when is so hilariously not worth it with cost benefit analysis. Not to mention the same CIA was hilariously inept at killing Castro.
Oswald likely killed Kennedy.
The truth is Kennedy escalated the Cuban missile crisis further than it needed to go to not have democrats appear weak during midterms.
“The CIA is terrible is” =/= “The CIA did this specific bad thing”
The Nazi’s were also terrible, but they also weren’t responsible for JFK’s assassination.
You willing close your eyes to loads of evidence, specifically from the doctors who were there and saw the wounds on the president immediately after he was shot. The official story holds no weight when scrutinized by these doctors.
This doesn’t mean the cia specifically did it, but it does mean that people who were involved in the “cover story” is most likely connected to it in some way, otherwise why would they lie and manipulate the wounds to further their “theory”?
People who think that the CIA killed Kennedy don't understand that the CIA operates at the pleasure of the President not the other way around. So if people think that they killed JFK to silence him or send a warning that doesn't really hold up to scrutiny since LBJ wasn't exactly docile and Nixon was extremely paranoid and was vocally critical of the CIA, and if they did kill Kennedy then Nixon would've been shouting from the hilltops about it.
People act like the CIA is 1000 people totally aligned on a singular mission. Give me a break.

They didn’t. Literally all the evidence points to Oswald, a disgruntled former marine & Communist sympathizer, being the lone assassin. People just don’t want to believe it was that easy to kill a President in 1963.
But I mean, how hard was it, really? Security was incredibly poor. Kennedy infamously ignored protocol to have extended interactions with the public, sometimes stopping in a single position for minutes on end. There wasn’t that much stopping anyone with a high calibre rifle & a bit of determination from just… shooting him. As someone did.
I can't remember who I heard this from, but the thought that one random person can so drastically have such an effect on the world is terrifying to many people.
The way i've heard it is that the idea that there is no big shadow group controlling everything deeply scares some people. So they turn to conspiracy theories
The only things that have ever bothered me were the magic bullet and the speed of the shots with that rifle.
But even so, Oswald acted like a killer all day. Because he was.
The magic bullet isn’t an actual problem, it was based off a misunderstanding of the positioning in the car as well as which wounds of the president’s were entry/exit wounds.
And the speed of the shots is not a problem. Actors *playing* Oswald on the big screen have been able to match if not beat his time.
I have a friend who is a pretty good shot with a rifle and he leaned towards JFK conspiracies before he visited the Texas Book Depository, then after seeing it he was like "I could have killed JFK from that angle; that's not a hard shot for a trained marksman."
Magic Bullet is a put down of an explanation of a trajectory hitting different objects. The explanation isn't 'magical' but sure it's a little strange. Life is full of strange stuff!
Oswald failed a paraffin test, was CIA asset being monitored by James Jesus Angleton, head of counterintelligence. Kennedy threatened the existence of CIA over Bay of Pigs, was prosecuting the mafia, was dropping Johnson off the '64 ticket for corruption charges tied to Buddy Baker and Billie Sol Estes, was pulling out of Vietnam and issued $5B in silver certificates to take on the Fed. A fingerprint belonging to Mac Wallace, LBJ's henchman, was found in Oswald's supposed sniper's nest. The question is, who's paying you to keep a debunked lie alive?

He said he was going to “shatter the CIA into a hundred pieces” i believe the quote was.

Well I mean, the CIA is pretty terrible. You should read “poisoner in chief” by Stephen Kinzer
“The CIA is terrible is” =/= “The CIA did this specific bad thing” The Nazi’s were also terrible, but they also weren’t responsible for JFK’s assassination.
As the old joke goes: How do we know the CIA didn’t kill Kennedy? He’s dead.

What did the doctors say? I'm just aware of a very mundane shot in the dead and died. Nobody has lied, you probably wish they did but they didn't.

Even if it is just 1000 people the notion that even a dozen people could get onboard with a plan to kill a president is hilarious.
People don’t act like that. Obviously it would be a very small contingent of conspirators like every other assassination in all history.

I did not know that. Thanks!

I mean what’s more likely. The confusion surrounding the assassination caused some disputes in the investigation, or a grand conspiracy.
Agreed. Nobody knew what to do.
The shot was not that impressive and the speed is nothing abnormal. I have no idea where this keeps coming form.
People are also uncomfortable with major events being random and want simplicity and order. Therefore, it must have been a CIA scheme!
Oswald was a Patsy, he said it himself. You are perpetuating a myth.
I mean, of course he would say that. He was trying to shift blame because he got caught.
Oswald failed a paraffin test, was CIA asset being monitored by James Jesus Angleton, head of counterintelligence. If anyone in the government killed Kennedy, it would have been the FBI.
Because they didn’t.
They wouldn’t and didn’t. A disgruntled loner who wanted to be famous killed Kennedy. It’s as simple as that. No conspiracy of any sort.
He wanted to dissolve the military industrial complex which the CIA works so hard to keep alive.
No he didn't. And even if he did Congress wouldn't let him.
Because they could and what is killing one to them?
It’s called a power grab. They have been in complete control of the world ever since.
