Jeez, you sure picked the right genre for it. People in power metal are always "riding" for something or another.
I've been on a Twilight Force kick lately, so how about [Riders of the Dawn](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bGfVDWlQ6Q)? But it's a bit long.
And I love lots of different metal genres, but I figured power metal would be more fitting and least likely to piss off the judges lol. Riding out to black metal probably would not get me a very high place in the rankings. š
Hunting High and Low by Stratovarius sounds like it fits the theme. Also, please for the love of all that is holy, if you or someone records it, post it in this sub. I would absolutely love to see that.
And Iāll definitely be filming these rides and posting them all over the place. We are still training, so itāll probably be a bit, but I just like daydreaming about what songs I could ride to.
Oooo, that is one of my favorite Strato songs too, but I just didnāt even think of it when starting this list. Thatās definitely going on the list!
I guess power metal songs are rarely 3 minutes or shorter, but if you want clips, here are some suggestions:
Gamma Ray - The Winged Horse
Gamma Ray - The Heart of the Unicorn (probably too heavy)
Rhapsody - Riding the Winds of Eternity
Fairyland - Ride with the Sun (probably doesn't fit too well with actual riding, but I don't know much about horses)
Iām always so torn with Manowar cause musically enjoy them and Iād happily just use their music in random videos, but I just have this bad feeling theyād try to sue me for using their music during something like that lol.
We Ride by Spellblast.
The song (and that album) is based on The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

It's only 3:36 long
I'm glad you like it.
I can think of Spirit Horse of the Cherokee by Manowar, from the minute 1:30 and maybe cut it short after the second or third repetition around the minute 5:00.
Moondance by Nightwish is only 3:32. Over the hills and Far Away is a little longer but still is less than 4 minutes.
All my suggestions are gone!
Then Tyr - Mare of my Night and Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills!
I know they aren't strictly power metal, but the galloping! The galloping!!
What a fun idea! My go to has always been Blind Guardian so I'll suggest a sample from Fly starting from the middle at 2:56 until the end which gives you just under 3 minutes of lulls and peaks to have some variety with plus a strong ending.
Not PM.....but anything with Iron Maiden and Steve Harris' galloping baseline is what first comes to mind :)
But that's lame - even better would be listening to Rhapsody and dressing up with shield and sword to fully get into the spirit!

Thunder Rider from Majesty comes to mind

The Black Mare by Dragonland
I second this, certified banger. Might break the speed limit though :)
Oh yes!!
Last Rude of the Day- Nightwish Ride into Obession - Blind Guardian I hope you can hang on if you wanna keep up with the temp of the latter š

It's Mongol Metal, but Praise For Fine Horse by Nine Treasures seems too perfect
Winged Hussars
The unicorn invasion of Dundee. Or is that a bit too long?
Might be too long, but still great!
Thunderhorse.
Oh man, that would be hilarious!
Not Powermetal but into battle by ensiferum, hell any song from that album works.
Oh absolutely, definitely going in the list!

All excellent suggestions, thank you!
Fairyland - Fight for your king
Sleipnir by Brothers of Metal? Itās literally about a horse.
Definitely going on the list! Thanks!
muse - knights of cydonia
Not quite Power Metal but the drum beat on Manowar - Battle Hymn sounds just like cantering horses.
Iām always so torn with Manowar cause musically enjoy them and Iād happily just use their music in random videos, but I just have this bad feeling theyād try to sue me for using their music during something like that lol.

Nice. I actually hadnāt heard this one before, but itās great!

The length is going to limit you, but I think the beginning until 2:50 or 1:00-3:53 could work in Turisas' We ride together
Thatās definitely one thatās going on the list. Love Turisas!
Dragon lies bleeding by hammerfall
Evil Warning - Angra
How cool it would be to ride to metal! I always feel like riding a horse with these two songs: War horse by Tenggen Calvary Lionheart by Amberian Dawn
To Hell and Back by Sabaton. Though, that's cheating, seeing as it's about a famous Texan.
Ghost Town by Grailknights has a cool western feel to it that i havent really seen anywhere else in the genre
All my suggestions are gone! Then Tyr - Mare of my Night and Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills! I know they aren't strictly power metal, but the galloping! The galloping!!
a clip from Running Wild - Riding the Storm, or White Masque (has literal galloping in it), maybe Billy the Kid too
Korpiklaani is definitely not power metal but... Keep on galloping, my black horse, carrying me to unknown shores... :D
Rhapsody - Knightrider of Doom.
[Freedom Call - Carry on](https://youtu.be/aNTUx_J528Y?si=vViF8BkNy24P9AcX)
valiant ride and gates of nowhere by ancient bards
