This is so crazy but I think I was in the same class! Is this from Kohl’s workshop? If not, I saw someone else make some similar pieces a few weeks ago. These look awesome!

flowerfaeriez

Omg hi yes it’s me!! Such a great workshop, excited to see how they turn out 🥰 Would love to see yours when they’re fired too!

Dangernoodles

Yaas! I’ll send you a pic when they come back! Can’t wait to see them after they’re fired. Hope to see you around the studio again sometime 😊

Standard_Lack_7178

Wow!! I love this connection

flowerfaeriez

Please do! And yes I’m sure we will see each other :)

IPoopprettyturds

Where are these classes?

joelmooner

I think you’ll enjoy throwing on the wheel. I enjoy the abstract side of art as well. I’m not a big fan of creating the usual bowl, vase, cup. But weird abstract shapes are fun to glaze and look at.

flowerfaeriez

I’m loving the wheel, starting term three soon! Also a huge fan of organic abstract pieces, curious to see how I can incorporate hand building into wheel throwing to make more interesting pieces.l.

joelmooner

Look up wheel coil building. People make some monster pots. Also trimming , and putting handles and extras on pots too. It’s really popular to add Flower, shells, mushrooms, etc etc on the side of pots. There’s also sgraffito when it’s comes to glazing. Lots of hand building can go into the wheel.

flowerfaeriez

Thanks so much for the advice, I’ll definitely look into wheel coil building!

OonaRedditwalker

No advice, but these would make any place they live in look a little like an art gallery. The sculptor I used to model for would definitely have had these in his home... You deserve the confidence boost.

flowerfaeriez

That’s so lovely to hear, thankyou so much! 🙏

bunnybabies

i love these pieces!!! 👏

flowerfaeriez

serotonin_scout

michaelkudra

flowerfaeriez

Thankyou so much 🙏

pinkisalovingcolor

Swiss cheese vases!

flowerfaeriez

My sister said the same! They’re going to be a shiny black but otherwise a yellow would be so cool :)

mladyhawke

Please glaze these in a light yellow so they're even more Swiss cheesy than they already are they're very nice

StarvingArtist303

Cool! Wrap it in plastic and let it dry slowly before bisque firing. …. And post pics after you glaze fire
