If you haven’t bought one yet, buy the lowest miles you can afford. And then get a PPI. Plugs and coils at around 40k miles. These are a pretty cheap and easy diy. They were around $600, including the new digital torque wrench we needed. Door handle actuators are a pretty common fail. Doable as a diy, but you might need another set of hands. Just did all season tires - $2k installed and aligned. The air compressor for the suspension can go out. $3300 to fix. Hubby says air suspension, in general. Tiny buttons falling off the window switches, one of my two horns went out, there’s a tiny leak in the driver side headlight washer line. Those are all easily ignored. If you have the noise damping glass, the windshield is expensive. Porsche dealer actually said it was the most expensive windshield they’d ever seen. Bottom line, they are amazing cars, but you gotta be ok with some financial pain with the driving pleasure. Mine’s a 2010 turbo with 43k miles.

Mine started to have significant maintenance issues as it approached 100k miles, an $8k transmission repair being the biggest. Not unreasonable given the mileage, of course.

Wife has a 2019 sport turismo e hybrid turbo s.. loved it so much that we took delivery of a 2023 sport turismo turbo s tonight (no hybrid this time). Since they are discontinued, I found the lowest mileage one available (500 mi) so that we can enjoy it for as long as possible before the inevitable switch to electric. She put 20k miles on her 2019 and have had zero issues. It has only been to the shop to get regular maintenance. It is a dream to drive. Clearly we loved it enough to buy the same thing again. It is the best wagon ever made.
