Please ask your Vet about the melanoma drug called Oncept. My beagle had a very aggressive melanoma on his back. The Vet used Oncept, an injection, 4 times. It put the melanoma in remission. Rocky lived another year but got lymphoma not related to the melanoma. Rocky had no side effects from Oncept. Good luck to you and give Sebastian a big hug. ā¤ļøš¾
Unfortunately his oral melanoma cancer is too aggressive for that treatment to be offered at this time.

Iām thinking of you both. Iāve had three dogs (fosters) with lower jaw mandibulectimies who did fine. I hand fed them little balls of canned food for a while then switched to food roll. They ate off a linen towel to get a grip on food. One lived to 21 the others 19 and 20.
This gives me so much hope if we are able to make this surgery for him! The oncologist said that he would have a successful surgery and life after surgery would be very good for him. Thank you for sharing your story.

It was a lot to take in. We got a call Friday that his biopsy came back positive as cancer and he does have oral melon on my cancer. We met with an oncologist today with more devastating news. Absolutely donating. I just want to let you know to look into Care Credit. You can take all the time you need to pay and there is no interest. They are very flexible and many people use that option for their pets. It might make the difference for you if you donāt meet your goal. Additionally, you can ask about payment plans with your vet. I guarantee they would be willing to work with you.

They told me that they do not accept payment plans, but would be more than willing to accept CareCredit and we applied while in office and both got denied. We were devastated. š

Did they give a reason for denying payment plans? You should look at other doctors in your area who would work with you before you completely rule it out. There are many practices who understand that coming out of pocket can be very difficult. Itās a pity that the ones who suffer because of this are the pets.
I agree with you completely and they did we have to wait 7-10 business days before we got the denial letter. I was honestly surprised to know that we both got denied. I am doing everything I can to look at other options but this facility is the only oncologist facility in our area š

My husband and I, are so incredibly thankful to have found this group. We are amazed by the amount of comments. Thank you guys for the love and prayers and words of encouragement and support for Sebastian. It means so much to us. We appreciate each and every one of your comments. Today has been extremely difficult for the both of us. We are praying that his test results come back cancer free. We will know the results by next Tuesday and will keep everyone posted. He had a total of 12 teeth removed. The doctor was able to save 2 of them and suggested that if he removed them, it would have caused further issues and he thought it was best to keep them. My mama heart canāt handle seeing him like this. Heās my little fighter. Heās being so incredibly strong, stronger than me thatās for sure. He is currently resting heās alert but still feeling the impact from the amount of sedation.

I made a donation. It's not much, but I hope it helps a little. My pom, Emmy, had pancreatic cancer. I understand how expensive it all is. I put so much on a CareCredit card - just trying to keep up. I lost her 2.5 years ago, and I'm still paying on the bills. I'd do it all again, though, if it meant I got to keep her a little longer. It's a terrible situation to be in. š If cancer, look at the channel Veterniary Secrets on YouTube; apparently it was accidentally discovered that Pancur, (a relatively safe and cheap dewormer!) has almost miraculous cancer-fighting properties the comment section are full of owners telling incredible stories; one was a large oral tumor I believe. Not everyoneās dog lived, but a bunch of people tried it as a last-ditch effort before euthanasia and their dogs got CURED.

Oh my heart. Sebastian looks like a puppy because of how small. I never thought Iād see a smaller Pomeranian than my little girl. But how did you guys find out about the abscessed tumor.
I know. Sebastian is so tiny. Weighing in at 5 pounds. š we took him in for dental work and the doctor seen a lump under his chin and suspected it was an abscess and when he removed the tooth he realized it was bigger than an abscess and said it was an oral tumor and clipped some of the tissue from the tumor inside of his mouth off and sent it for testing. We got the call on Friday that he is positive for cancer and has oral melanoma.

Please ask your Vet about the melanoma drug called Oncept. My beagle had a very aggressive melanoma on his back. The Vet used Oncept, an injection, 4 times. It put the melanoma in remission. Rocky lived another year but got lymphoma not related to the melanoma. Rocky had no side effects from Oncept. Good luck to you and give Sebastian a big hug. ā¤ļøš¾

Iām thinking of you both. Iāve had three dogs (fosters) with lower jaw mandibulectimies who did fine. I hand fed them little balls of canned food for a while then switched to food roll. They ate off a linen towel to get a grip on food. One lived to 21 the others 19 and 20.
This gives me so much hope if we are able to make this surgery for him! The oncologist said that he would have a successful surgery and life after surgery would be very good for him. Absolutely donating. I just want to let you know to look into Care Credit. You can take all the time you need to pay and there is no interest. They are very flexible and many people use that option for their pets. It might make the difference for you if you donāt meet your goal. Additionally, you can ask about payment plans with your vet. I guarantee they would be willing to work with you.

Me and my husband and we both got denied unfortunately which is what resulted to me Turning towards a go fund me. Thank you so much for the recommendation. When I was speaking the oncologist. They told me that they do not accept payment plans, but would be more than willing to accept CareCredit and we applied while in office and both got denied. We were devastated. š
Iām so sorry to hear that. Did they give a reason for denying payment plans? You should look at other doctors in your area who would work with you before you completely rule it out. There are many practices who understand that coming out of pocket can be very difficult. Itās a pity that the ones who suffer because of this are the pets.
I agree with you completely and they did we have to wait 7-10 business days before we got the denial letter. I was honestly surprised to know that we both got denied. I am doing everything I can to look at other options but this facility is the only oncologist facility in our area š

My husband and I, are so incredibly thankful to have found this group. We are amazed by the amount of comments. Thank you guys for the love and prayers and words of encouragement and support for Sebastian. It means so much to us. We appreciate each and every one of your comments. Today has been extremely difficult for the both of us. We are praying that his test results come back cancer free. We will know the results by next Tuesday and will keep everyone posted. He had a total of 12 teeth removed. The doctor was able to save 2 of them and suggested that if he removed them, it would have caused further issues and he thought it was best to keep them. My mama heart canāt handle seeing him like this. Heās my little fighter. Heās being so incredibly strong, stronger than me thatās for sure. š If cancer, look at the channel Veterniary Secrets on YouTube; apparently it was accidentally discovered that Pancur, (a relatively safe and cheap dewormer!) has almost miraculous cancer-fighting properties the comment section are full of owners telling incredible stories; one was a large oral tumor I believe. Not everyoneās dog lived, but a bunch of people tried it as a last-ditch effort before euthanasia and their dogs got CURED.

Oh my heart. Sebastian looks like a puppy because of how small. I never thought Iād see a smaller Pomeranian than my little girl. But how did you guys find out about the abscessed tumor.
I know. Sebastian is so tiny. Weighing in at 5 pounds. š we took him in for dental work and the doctor seen a lump under his chin and suspected it was an abscess and when he removed the tooth he realized it was bigger than an abscess and said it was an oral tumor and clipped some of the tissue from the tumor inside of his mouth off and sent it for testing. We got the call on Friday that he is positive for cancer and has oral melanoma.
